The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Another issue i'm having is severe screen glitching, screen blacking out for a second or 2 every few minutes, horizontal glitches across the screen occasionally as well.

I wouldn't base any option on a video recorded by a smartphone etc. Too many variables, all depends on the frequency respons of the microphone, people's own volume settings, sensitivity to different frequencies, noise reduction on smartphones, audio compression, etc.

All you can really do is go by what owners say, and seeing that a number of AMD die-hards are complaining then you should believe them.

Well thats it out of the system and back in its box, have to get this sorted out on monday. :(

Funny when you think about it, they probably switched from astek to coolermaster to save themselves a few quid, seems to have worked out well.

Ok done a comparison vid comparing the gigabyte fury x, the sapphire fury x and the 295x2. This was my initial recording of the sapphire card.

And now a recording i done later and compared to the other 2, seems much more muted in this recording, mostly what sounds like coil whine id guess.

I'm going to install it again tomorrow and compare it to the 295 again, just seems odd that the initial droning sound that's very obvious in the first vid is suddenly gone.

This is the I recorded a few days ago of mine. I can hear the noise anywhere in the room, and it causes a headaches relatively quickly. Anyone who doesn't have the card can only work of the videos themselves, and trust me, that noise is horrible.

And the fan wasn't even running!! That's weird lol. I guess they just stopped the fan to just show its not the fan making the noise but the pump. Yea its still annoying. Sort of the noise you hear when your inside the fuselage of a plane when its in the air.

Your 295X2 looks like it's badly sagging

The pump noise to me just sounds like coil whine, but then again I'm not too familiar with pumps.

The whine is very audible in the first portion of the video, the high pitch of it pieces though, that was on the gigabyte card, the sapphire card was like this initially but having looked at some other recordings it seems to have almost gone. The second vid shows that the best i think.

Yeah the 295 does sag a bit. Pretty front heavy card.

Fury regular must be dropped under 500 to make it good buy and FX is just born dead sorry and that whine lol it really sounds like something industrial

Feel so sorry for AMD they got it so so so wrong :( just hope they are around in the future, doesn't look good right now though :( subpar products that are over priced for their performance, issue with pump whine, bad performance at the most common resolutions, late drivers lacking support for advertised features, the list goes on :(

Well, I caved in and ordered a 40" Philips 4K monitor instead of the 980Ti. This made the most sense to me and I can now test how good the Fury X is against the Titan X at 4K :D

If people don't buy Fiji NOW, they won't get Pascal in 2016. NV will have a total monopoly and just continue farting out 28nm rehashes for a 3% bump just like Intel.

These fanboys are only screwing themselves.

I can see you being tempted to get another FX and TX for some two way CF and SLI gaming @2160p.:)
