Lusso, the scoop really disrupts the water as it changes the shape of the hood, plus it was warm when i waxed it and it was a race to get not let it dry on too much :P

That's the one, it doesn't last THAT long unfortunately, 2-3 months of decent beading then it disappears quickly, it does rain pretty damn hard here every day though so that doesn't help

Excellent cheers for that heads up, I've been looking to replace my ancient VAX which has gone all mucky in the hard to clean areas and has bits broken over the years!

one filter installed to hose pipe. no more water spots.

will do. says 6 months or 2000 litres (mayby 20000, will confirm)

Should last a while if i disconnect and only use it for the final risne.

Did a touch less wash on my Saab as well today. Magifoam followed by a mix of Chemical guys wash and wax. Bit of Valet Pro trim glitz on the tyres.

Snow foam works wonders if you keep your car topped up with a decent wax.

I popped over to see my mate a few days ago, when I pulled up to his house he had his pressure washer out and was spraying the car down, I went inside the house to dump some things I had with me and spoke to his misses for a couple of minutes. I went back outside to see him vigorously scrubbing the car with a brush attachment on the pressure washer lance and my jaw dropped. Scrubbing hell out of the paint then the wheels with the same brush, then paint again!

He has only had the car a few months, its a lovely blue MK5 R32, 40K miles when he got it and it was immaculate. I wouldn't do this to my '98 5 series which is probably worth less than his tyres!

Does anyone else do this to their car? If it was a work van or something then fair enough but not a nice car. :(

I said to him what the **** are you doing and he just looked at me like I had lost my mind.
I suggested using a wash mitt and two buckets but he just said nah the brush works great

I was half expecting a brillo pad to come out next.

I haven't seen it since with the sun out but I imagine it will swirled to hell.

Some people just don't give a toss. My XJ is swirled to hell as I either over go over it with a mitt and foam only or it goes to a hand car wash.

I hate swirls but realistically I don't have the time nor inclination over being such a tard over some paintwork.

I hope you don't give the Aston the same treatment! :p

The thing is he looked for a few months before finding this one, had to get a loan to purchase it, took it to VW to get it serviced when he could likely do it himself just to have the stamp etc. I think it was more a case of ignorance than not caring, but he just wasn't interested in any advice offered.

And with all due respect, your car collection is probably worth as much as his house and a paint correction is a drop in the ocean to some one like yourself, but to my mate who had to get a loan in the first place to buy the car it is a cost I am sure he could do without.
