The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Sorry, more of a galaxy question than witcher 3 but thought it may be worth asking here as its probably the main thing people use galaxy for.

Anyone know if I can easily move my install to a different drive? I have made the effort to google it but couldn't find anything definitive and would trust people more here, anyone moved there install?

What on good buggery earth is up with the invisible medicine ball around your feet when walking through small ferns?

Grass, fine, bushes, fine, tall grass... Meh. Ankle height ferns... MY GOD MY EYES.

They stretch out so far to avoid the characters feet it actually stretches the textures...

Is it just me?

As for the game, getting sick of group fights. Feels like a cheap way to make the situation hard, specially when you've got 3 enemies doing the exact same animation a second after the other. On Death March, really makes group fights impossible.

The regional voice acting accents are making me laugh, so far I've had several women with Black country/Birmingham accents, just had another man with Irish Belfast accent, several Scotts & now waiting for a bunch of Scousers or Geordies to turn up to complete the set :p:p

Well, I'm super ****ed off.

Doing the quest for the Baron, got to the point where he is carrying the Botchling back. And we get ambushed by Noonwraiths. But yet again, this ****ing game just thinks "I'll make this hard" and throws several of them at you at once. It's a cheap tactic to make combat seem harder, but Dark Souls 2 did the same and it's just cheap.

Getting really annoyed at having to fight off multiple enemies at the same time.

I'm NOT going to lower the difficulty and I am not going to kill the Botchling as I want to see what happens if I try to save it

Get them in your magic circle.

I don't think it is necessarily cheap (I'd be the first to complain about that!)... I just think that all of the game's problems with movement and combat come from a really poor Camera. It is no fun fighting groups of enemies!

And most of then seem to be done by the bloke who plays Chris Finch in the office.

I try, but they just come at me and I can only dodge so much.

Use Quen. If necessary map a button to Select Quen + Cast together with mapping software. It'll make things much easier throughout the whole game. I remember being immensely frustrated early on with this game, but trust me, it's because it's not your usual run of the mill hack and slash. You need to approach battles with thought and tact. The amount of times I died trying to go toe-to-toe early on is ridiculous.

I just done this the other night. They disappear and appear right in front off you and do a kind of double attack. As soon as they start to spawn in front off you quen up then dodge back twice to avoid the attack. Then jump in and attack. If you get hit, back off and recast quen. Using tawny owl and spectre oil before the fight also helps with this tactic.

I just installed a new 980Ti and the Geforce Experience one click optimisations are really surprising, quite a few medium and high settings.

What settings are 980Ti users on, just out of interest?

Wraths become very easy when you up grade Yrden. You use the alternative placement. It'll throw down a little node that will strike wraths (or anything else). All you need to do it dodge and attack a few times while the Yrden sign zaps them. Make fighting wraths a lot more fun.

Is this game played best with a gamepad ? or is Keyboard and mouse the way to go ? Have not bought it yet but highly considering it at the moment ! GTA V is getting a bit samey now.

Uninstall GeForce Experience and just slap everything on Ultra with Hairworks Off and enjoy 60FPS, with dips when things get mental on the screen or you're in a place with lots of units.

Depends on you. I love it on keyboard and find it fumbly and awkward with a controller, while others swear by it.

I'm on a 980ti (EVGA ACX 2.0) and I have every single thing up to ultra bar hairworks, and I don't like sharpness so that's off.

But, everything is max, I NEVER dip below 60fps at 1080p.

Forget about geforce experience, it's only handy when you have a mid range card or lower. For top end cards.

So is the Witcher 3 working with crossfire yet ? Haven't tried the new driver 15.7, want to start again but require crossfire with AA without the flickering textures.
