Hmmm, mine definitely doesn't have Shimano branded on it... That one clearly shows BB91, correct?

I would go check but just dropped it off at the LBS... Asked them to look at theBB and bearings along with the rear mech hanger as I know that makes a noise and I knackered one of the screw heads!

After noticing my cut tyre I gave it a complete service, so asked the LBS to check it over to confirm my servicing is ok and that I'm not regularly missing anything...

Looks like a snug fit

I'll need a whole tub of lube (Lifeline green?)

Strava says it will be available for the 810 aswell? Is that updated yet?

I was waiting for this update but I found a very useful tip earlier this week which does the same thing and works great. Edge 810 or 1000 required. Also, doesn't require a premium Strava account.

Summary: Copy your Strava segment URL to this site: http://gniza.org/segments/#/, select the time from the list you want to download (KOM or your PR), click the Export as FIT file, copy the segment file to your Garmin 'New files' directory and that's it.
Then when you're out riding and you get close to that segment it will count you down to the start, show GO and track your position ahead/behind in seconds. Works on the map view, elevation and virtual partner screens.

ok, I have now put my Conti GP 4000s II's on
these are now 25c instead of 23c
at 100 psi blimey these are ROCK solid ! as apposed to my 23c ones where I could actually squeeze the tyre in a little, now I cant, is that right/ok ?

taken photos of my old ones, tread depth looks ok to me, just the tyres are fubard around the rim really

see what u guys think, and one last question, is my actual rim ok?

how does that happen? how old are they, were do you store you bike etc? I have never seen a tyre deteriorate that bad over a normal tyres life.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm. Interesting GP4000Ss. So those are your old ones? I have a set of 23mm GP4000Ss with plenty of wear left on them. They have not cracked like yours, but the sidewall has had thread come away from it like in your photos. It kinda put me off. I don't know if they are safe or not though.

Or rather, the larger the tyre the lower the pressure you need for the proper level of support, and the better they are at absorbing bumps or vibrations due to the greater volume of air. Downsides are greater rolling resistance, weight and aerodynamics.

Although having ridden on a particularly gravelly section of Route 1 the other day, i'm starting to think that 28s might be a better choice for a general use road bike in the UK. 25s are great for a smooth road surface, but how often do you find yourself on one of those?
