If the story is correct, that is unreal. Nothing to stop them just walking out into the country side and not coming back.

The whole issue is becoming a joke.

And then when the police stop an illegal they just take down a few details, more than likely made up, then tell them to make their own way to the processing centre. I wonder how many actually do so?

If centres are full then build more or find an empty school or something. Once an application is rejected then just send them back. I know some may face death, but that's the game they played.

I don't mean to sound harsh nor do I want to come out with silly crap such as shot them all.

I wonder were else they drop these illegal's off? Wales, Scotland, NI?

I was replying to previous post.

This is the problem what can we do? No one has come up with a decisive way of dealing with this. We can banter, shoot at them and argue all day but what can we do.
What would be a humane and considerate manner to deal with illegal immigration?

Brain cell comment was not directed at the forum but at the people we talking about.
cancel 12bn foreign aid and build houses in calais.

I'm all for it since the gov won't use it to help our own needy and the majority appears to be wasted

BOOM! Facts yo!

The UK had the fifth highest number (31,400) of asylum applications within the EU in 2014. In 2014, four EU countries received more asylum applicants than the UK – Germany (166,800), Sweden (81,300), France (63,100) and Italy (56,300).

Well that says a lot.

•Indian nationals were issued the largest proportion (39%) of skilled work visas in the 2008 cohort and, of these skilled Indian nationals, 19% had received settlement after 5 years, while a further 7% still had valid leave to remain

Not illegal I know, but theyre all unskilled right???? Must be, theyre not british.

I think a migrant ship would be good. Make it easier to ensure they dont escape. If their asylum application fails, they could be flown by helicopter straight to the airport for deportation.

a good idea build a new fort between dover and calais.

declare the sea border around dover as international territory.

if they want food give them free fishing tackle, if they re refused asylum give them an inflatable raft and if they head for english coast simply put them back on the fort.

they'll soon be heading back to france

Ahh right. So if you left a war torn country, but cant afford to get a plane ticket immediately, you must be unskilled.

what war torn country in africa do you speak off? and from that country why would you come to the uk

If you can't afford a plane ticket you probably wouldn't even have a job

I'll repeat myself again. Again.

The UK is seen as relatively affluent, compared to Spain and Greece this is true, also more chance of employment here than there.

Are they all from africa are they???? You been and asked them all?????? Definitely no Syrians, Iraqis, or anything else??????

Maybe they have friends here that have arrived legally but they cant????

Look I cant do all your research for you, you are beyond help.

I suggest you build a 40 foot wall around your house to stop them getting in and setting up camp. Better build it from the inside to be safe, and don't make a door anywhere in it otherwise theyll break in.

You should be safe then.

Don't worry though, The Daily Mail are doing their best to help with this current top story:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-cooked-meals-35-cash-week-days-arrival.html

I particularly like the selection of the pretentious looking chips complete with mini-fryer style serving you get in 'posh' places just to rile people up even more.

'With freeview televisions' too, what a hotel!

I wonder what the actual truth is behind that story?

Regardless of the spin they are asylum seekers being temporarily housed at a hotel at tax payers expense because the local council has nowhere else to put them.

What exactly are you proposing? You obviously think we should be letting them in. How many?

It reads like it's at Serco's expense, but I don't know whether they run the asylum reception centres at a fixed price or whether it's done per-head.

So come on, what is your a feasible strategy to deal with these people ??

You have not come up with a concise plan to deal with the issue at hand.

£35 a week and house/hotel, if that's true then ...... am calling my anger therapist ASAP! :p

Oh my word, how can it be that large groups of people huddling together in make shift towns of tents and whatever bits and pieces they can use for shelter with not even the most basic of sanitation make such a mess? I mean really have the garbage fairies just overlooked them?

If we didn't have access to plumbing and refuse collection how long do you think it would be until your lovely homes started looking like that and smelling etc and if the shoe was on the other foot and it was yourselves who were forced to live like that well would you do any better with your fancy degrees? I think not.

Desperate people do desperate things, but lets answer that whole they should settle in the first safe country argument... What country other than the UK has a national health service, provides state housing and pays in benefits what to these people is considered a fortune? Well as far as I'm aware not one, so of course the UK is going to be the primary destination for many.

And even if these people are unskilled and uneducated does that mean they deserve to suffer and die like wild animals? No it doesn't!

These people need our help, granted not everyone should be allowed in to the country or those that are to stay permanently but that does not mean we should not be helping our fellow man.

Yes we have plenty of problems of our own and things need to change drastically here as well but does that mean we she stop helping others... no it doesn't! A slight increase in say corporation tax of not even 1 or 2% would probably generate enough income to not just house and help native British people in need but the vast majority of immigrants coming in who need help.

But no, the government is cutting corporation tax by 2% Pffffft this makes me angry!

For the love of god guys, don't you see that by bringing these people in, giving them healthcare and an education even if you do end up sending them back to their home countries can only be beneficial!

It's £5 a day and a room in a Best Western in Lancashire, if that's enough to get you angry then maybe therapy is the correct answer.
