What film did you watch last night?

The Exorcist - up until now I had only seen parodies of the famous scene in films such as scary movie where I thought they were just taking the **** but wow.... It definitely made me laugh a few times.

6.5/10 great film if high I can imagine

LOL I knew that was coming :D (I was going to say on the post that yes I know it's Photoshopped) but I was hoping no one would point it out :p

Still lots of other pics of her and for 57 she does look good!

Shoot 'Em Up - 7/10

Stupid and over the top comedy/action with Clive Owen.

The Core. I kept my expectations low for this one, but there was really no need; it delivers more than you'll bargain for! It doesn't take itself seriously, and that's half the fun.

The quality of the CGI took me completely by surprise. Very impressive for the time, and still holds up well 12 years later. As for the science of the film... don't even go there, girlfriend.

Yes it's nonsense, but it's glorious nonsense!

7/10.

Yeah I did just after watching Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (2015). Now that was a bad movie, the end whilst great didn't manage to save it :D 3/10

I liked Pam in BW, they don't make them like that anymore.

Are you crazy? Sharknado 3 was great! I meant, you know, cheesey Sci-Fi movies have to be scored on a whole seperate 'out of 10 standard' but definitely worthy of a Sci-Fi 5/10 at least! :D

The only Sci Fi to come close to competing was Lavalantula!! :)

Southpaw.

5/10 Didn't feel for the Billy, didn't feel for his daughter, didn't believe Gyllennhal as a boxer. Didn't care if he won or not at the end. The whole thing just didn't come across with the emotion that a film like this should.
Was a poor ripoff of Rocky, and frankly needed a better muscial montage than Eminem.

Gone baby gone. Messy, clumsy. Stupid change of direction in the mid-section and the actual interesting questions raised in the denouement weren't left enough time to be properly dealt with.

The World's End. Imo, nowhere near as good as Hot Fuzz, about the same, or just below Shaun of the Dead. 7.5/10

Coherence. Very low budget Sci-fi. A great concept and some really neat twists and touches. I really enjoyed it, though it could have gone a lot further for me. It would also help if I didn't hate every one of the characters in it! 8/10

Edit- thinking on it, and some of the possibilities of the film, and the way it can be viewed, I am upping it to a 9!

King Kong (2005), Extended Edition. Jack H. Black delivers a cracking performance in this superb remake of the 1933 classic. Despite running for just over 3 hours  it's extremely well paced. Chock full of outrageous action shots, and loaded with pathos!

8/10.

Avengers - Age of Ultron

Nice to see the usual faces but extremely weak story leaves it flat as a pancake and boring.

Shame.

5/10 (+1 for the hulk)

^^

Sharon Stone at 57 still looks bang tidy. She is very fit for her age, I've always had a soft spot for her though.

Can't believe she is 57, man I am getting old! lol

She didn't have to persist in trying to change him. He changed himself.

If I put a smiley does it mean we're not actually discussing this?

It's also most children's first experience of Stockholm Syndrome.

Disney. Shining a light on to adult topics with song and dance!

I don't really buy the Stockholm Syndrome argument, it strikes me as a bit reductionist and a cheap shot.

In related news, it's probably got the best songs of any Disney film.

you are the first person i have seen who actually liked that movie - i thought it was boring. an extended edition must be torture ;)

The Rise of the Krays 6/10 didnt cover half the depraved things they got upto. didnt really cover that both where gay, seemed that it was aimed for an american market imo.

Bit late but saw Man From U.N.C.L.E. on Saturday, really enjoyed it so its an 8/10 for me.

This movie actually shows Henry Cavill as a real contender for Bond :D
