Nexus 5 2015 refresh

Part of the problem sure...but look at Sony, they release a Z5 and a Z5 Compact which is essentially the same spec in terms of internals but the resolution on the Screen is their main difference if we ignore the difference in size.

I just don't see why Google couldn't have taken that approach also.

You then have to consider the fact that the recently announced XIAOMI MI 4C has essentially the same/similar spec as the Nexus 5X coming in at an astounding price point...ok limited to China initially but it's equivalent of approx $250.

What I would LOVE to see from Google, considering the spec, is that they release the 5X at an extremely aggressive price point...I will be interested in their approach and if there are any surprises.

Mi 4C looks pretty good, shame they have missed out NFC though, but it nexus 5x comes in to expensive or battery life is really poor I might give the Mi4c a go.

That mint colour I think will sums it up. Everything I've seen looks a bit disappointing for a phone in 2015. If they some how manage to get solid battery life/camera/display then I could excuse then 2GB ram, and base 16GB and only 32GB upgrade that it looks like we will get.

I just have this feeling it really does NEED to be CHEAP!!

They say its on par with the galaxy S6 and what I can see is around the same as the Motorola N6.
Not sure what people are expecting with costs less than half the price of a 'flagship' phone. The old nexus 5 was exactly top of its league either.

Will it be half the price though? I didn't think there was much detail on pricing, but it would need to be cheap! Though I've pretty much lost all interest the more rumours and leaks I see.

I'm expecting it to be the near the original nexus 5 price and even then it may be pushing it a bit. Still, middle of the range phone, middle of the range price.

To me, Google have simply given half decent specs for the first few years with a decent price tag to get people roped in.
Last year they tried to use that to get people to pay more and it back fired for a fair few customers so have reverted to a half decent spec at a half decent price along with a higher market device.
If the Nexus 5X is benching at the same as the samsung S6, I don't see what the issue is? Its a number that no one will notice in real life!
