Nope not the case.
One of these is air, can you tell which one ?
Are you sure? I wouldn't like to test it

I've answered this question a dozen (if not more) times.
The simple answer is: Maybe.
You are allowed to control certain birds (Not game/wildfowl which are kept under a different act) that allows you to shoot certain birds if conditions are met.
The reasons for doing so are:
(Wildlife and countryside act 1982, F39/3)
(a)preserving public health or public or air safety;
(b)preventing the spread of disease; or
©preventing serious damage to livestock, foodstuffs for livestock, crops, vegetables, fruit, growing timber, [F39, fisheries or inland waters].
Now most people do so under 'Protection of crops', claiming that they are damaging there veggies in the back garden. (But this is not a serious defense, as 'Serious damage' is completely up to interpertation)
What should be mentioned is that there is no concrete 'right or wrong' on this issue, if you are caught, and taken to court, the vast majority of this act is up to interpretation by the judge and jury.
People have gotten in serious trouble for shooting pigeons in there back garden before.

I'm sure I also read the same in an Airgun magazine, most people that shoot on farmers land do so under the guise of protecting crops, but in your garden this could be hard to justify. And since they are not game you can't shoot to eat specifically.
Lovely engraving! I also have shotguns:

Top one like most people have said. Can't be the bottom one as you can see bullets in the spare mag and I doubt Glock would license their trades. One of these is air, can you tell which one ?
So, old new i know but are there any OCUK Airgunners who are going to get screwed when Scotland brings in the Airgun Licensing in April?
If so what are your plans!?

Decided to have a go at 'tuning' my Cometa 300 air rifle since I had it apart to replace the piston seal. I bought a rod of black delrin a while ago from ebay, so used this as I believe it is the same material used for my venom tuned HW97. Turned a top hat for the front of the spring and a washer for the rear.
SNIP SNIP
Next job is to make a steel piston liner out of an old spray paint tin. I was going to buy some 0.5mm ptfe sheet, but it's £6 and I doubt it will make enough of a difference to warrant the cost.
I have some delrin left and its the exact diameter of the compression tube, so I'm toying with the idea of adding a delrin ring around the rear of the piston. The piston is a sloppy fit so it seems like it shouldn't be too hard to achieve. I was thinking of buying a 3mm metal cutting disk for my angle grinder and making a jig that I could slowly rotate the piston and it would just cut into the piston a mm or so. Then epoxy the ring in place. Not sure if it would be more trouble than its worth...
Any updates on this Mark?
.
I bought a piston seal from the guy on Ebay and it seems to be decent. I'm not sure how he makes any profit after shipping from Australia.
Made a piston liner out of an old steel spray paint tin, which has taken some of the twang out of the spring, but it needs a tighter fitting rear guide making to finish the job. Theres a guy on the airgun bbs that makes them, so might ask him to make me one at some point.
I havent used it much as I just bought a Brummie Webley Tomahawk with a Vmach kit fitted off the bbs, so been playing with that.
