Alien: Isolation Trailer

Thank the maker it's all over. I've never played a game that has given me such huge adrenaline rushes. I feel completely drained.

I wonder if they'll make a sequel to this. I can't see what they could do without rerunning the same game but in a different location? Unless they give you beefier guns and loads of aliens like in the film "Aliens".

I still can't get past the bit you have to get the doctor's pass card thing and the alien drops down the first time?
Stupid game.

Yeah, I was watching some fella on Twitch last night. He was trying for ages to do that level. He got quite close but gave up in the end as it knackered him out.

It only took me two attempts to clear that section only because I messed up by running into the staff room/quarters and the alien dropped out of the nearest vent, ran straight in and it was all over.

The best way to deal with that section is to take it low and slow once the Alien comes into play and be ultra cautious at all times, but once you know the rooms you need to check you shouldn't dither and head to the ward (once you have the key, you can use it to open the door that gets you straight back to medical reception without having to retrace your steps).

Right just completed this game today and I loved it. Can't believe I have had this for nearly a year on only got round to playing it now.

Truly an epic game all round. It sounded epic on my 5.1 sound system to a point it's scared the pap out of me!!

Hated the ending tho.... Sequel?

I think I only got a quarter of the way through this before giving up in frustration / exhaustion (the level with the medical rooms arranged inside a circular hallway).

I keep telling myself I'll go back to it when VR is out, but my god I doubt I'll last very long.

It deserves a sequel but Creative Assembly/Sega said it didn't sell enough copies to get one.

ahh balls

That's a huge shame. The artwork and sound in this game where unbelievable good.

I did pull this off wikki
In October 2015, Creative Assembly studio director Tim Heaton stated that, while the company was disappointed with the sales of the game, a sequel was "not out of the question" and that "there was more to be said."[71] However, he also highlighted significant obstacles in creating a sequel, commenting: "Spending very significant amounts of money, and getting close to break-even or just about in the black? That’s not where Sega wants to be, when we have a brilliant portfolio of other games that do great business."[71] Sega later confirmed that a sequel is still being considered.

worse mission in the game get past it and the game gets much better

buy and recommed this game to your friends people....so that we maybe we get sequel sometime.

those numbers, are they tracking only digital or retails too?

I bought the season pass today whilst it's on special.

How the heck do you access the stuff though? Do you need to complete the first "basement" level? I've got four characters to choose from whereas previously I only had Amanda. I guess that means it's activated but can't select any of the other five levels.

EDIT: Never mind. I worked out that the season pass just grants you free download to the five DLC packs which you then have to download manually from the store.

This is one of my all time favorite games now.

It is a much better game on 2nd play through. Like a lot of people I had trouble in the medlab section on the first play through. The medlab is where your duel with the alien really begins.

On my second play through on survivor difficulty i got straight through the medlab without getting killed.

Oh yeah I remember that part, very tense!

I still actually need to get back to this game and finish it.

I need to play again and go to all those "secret" areas that you can't access on your first pass through. But the alien is so scary, I chickened out the first time.

I though the alien would be less scary after the first encounter but hell no, its still gives me the creeps throughout hearing the stomping and strange noises in the ventilation shafts.

One of my favourite games this gen. Truly scary in an amazing setting with immense sound. I will buy it again one day for another play through. Hope there will be a sequel.

Playing through this now, first run though on hard was slow progress until I finally man'd up and realised I didn't have to wait for the Alien to be completely out of range before I could move. Died a fair bit in medlab. I must be on mission 9 I think so still fair way to go. Playing at night with lights out with Astro A50s just makes the experience. :D

Attention to detail is great. Shame this didn't do better on release. Curse over an overlooked classic :(
