I was surprised how many seats were left at my local cinema... no trouble booking premier seats for the 2D screenings.. think a lot of people are going 3D

or just refusing to go to a packed cinema of overly excited people dressed in star wars gear shoving popcorn down their faces, whilst screaming and shouting at every star wars ad, feature and noise.

**** the cinema is a ****** experience, I can not wait for the days of direct to streaming.

I'll be going to the cinema to watch it but I'll be giving a week or so before going due to the 'hardcore' fans.

I'm all for enjoying the film but I don't need cheers everytime something happens or the whole lets clap at the end of the film.

Every single trailer for this has reduced me to the excited 8-year-old I was when I first saw ANH in 1977 - these films are a huge part of my life. The sequence with the Falcon weaving through the wreckage with THAT music in the background just gives me goosebumps

I'm the same and I'm getting increasingly excited about it. The prequels didn't get me excited in the same way. I think it's because this is a continuation of the story that had so much impact on me from the moment the credits rolled in 1977 and that huge Empire ship was chasing down the rebels. It's great to see what finally happened to the main characters. Some of the sounds and music give me goosebumps.

If you follow makingstarwars.net you will understand why Luke is not on the poster. It does make sense. It will also clear up most of the other speculation on here. They seem to have been spot on with their spoilers.
Great trailer and supper excited!

Finally got my tickets booked yesterday morning after all the hoopla with the Odeon site. All booked for midnight opening night! Cannot wait!! And that new trailer...HELL YEAH!!!

The 3D in the second trailer was quite good.

This film could easily smash all box office records in its first week of release. Be interested to see the advance ticket sales figures considering most of the cinema tickets sites in USA also went down to to the high demand.

One weird thing about the trailer is that somehow in what 20 years everyone has forgotten about the war, the jedi etc ? wtf ?? (when solo says ohh yeah the stories are true etc)

Trailer does look good but ...i'm scottish so i know what hope can do

It's been what? Twenty years since the end of Episode 6, and twenty years before that when Anakin and Sidious wiped out the Jedi. A totalitarian regime with control of all electronic communications and storage systems could rewrite a lot of history in that time. Especially if you've grown up on some ass-end of nowhere planet without a bean to your name.

So pumped for this. The only thing I have in the back of my mind is the recent burning from Man Of Steel, thought Superman was back when I watched this teaser so many times...

But it wasn't to be
