No a Golf GTI is not what I'm after performance wise. I used to ride bikes.
Just got my Z4M back from an MOT, passed everything which surprised me because I'm doubting the tyres and wanted an excuse to get MPSS on but they have another year in them. Comparing the handling to my old MX5 is daft because of the weight differences but the Z4 really doesn't give me the confidence even after a year.
As a rough guide when is the n52-n53 changeover point for e91's?
Looks to be mid to late 2007 build when I check the vins online but just want to be sure. It's likely I'll be buying outside of the full warranty point, so would rather avoid the n53 given any car will be pre lci anyway

Starting to get a little miffed with BMW, could be coincidence but I'm not at all convinced. I've now had the 1 series for a year and a half, it's been in to the dealers three times now and twice, the next day, the drivetrain warning light has popped up. Last time the dealer booked it in asap (the following day), investigated, turned out someone hadn't put something or another back on correctly. This time, they won't check it out until the 7th December and are stating it's nothing to do with the service work.
Part of the reason I bought the car was due to the warranty and that I could chuck it at BMW should anything happen and they would sort it (to a point) but having to constantly take it back due to them screwing up is becoming a joke.

Can't you nominate another BMW dealer nearby to look at it?

Doesn't fill you with confidence does it? I know some really good independent BMW specialist mechanics around here but obviously they don't do warranty work.

Sounds stupid but once or twice my passenger side seatbelt has rattled against the door after my girlfriend has been in the car.
Just had to lean over and adjust it. Worth checking...
Actually I find I have to be careful when taking mine off otherwise it shoots back over my shoulder and whacks against the door.

It does sound like the seatbelt but if I lean over and hold it the rattle continues.
