Cheers, ill give the frame cap a try in bf3.A 980Ti will be very similar to a pair of 970s in this, with the added benefit that if you install a "game ready" driver for another game it won't matter whether they've borked SLI again.
The reason for the cap at 135fps was it was supposed to reduce input lag vs uncapped.

I think I would be fine tanking - as I never had any issues playing on LA servers from London. Infy is obv not an optionI will just be glad to get playing again.
Bit late to quote but i remember newyork being the best servers for me to play on from the UK. around 95 to 100ms. LA servers was around 180ms if i remember right. Tho going back 7 years

Yeh weirdly my brother lives in Brisbane so I used to play on LA servers with him as it's closer. I get my stuff on Monday so should be on not this weekend the one after assuming they didn't destroy anything.

Here is a post from blurbusters which I think explains it well. I can't find the one that argues that having lower than 140 is best - and that approach might be outdated - but certainly not limiting frames below 144 is a bad idea and I can't see how they would fix that. I'm locked to 135 as well.

Can't speak for everyone but I'm playing FO4 a lot at the moment, and will be playing SWBF when it is officially released. Had a quick round of BF4 last night on graveyard shift, having not played much for a couple of weeks I was certainly rusty for the first 10 mins or so.
Most of them are playing F04, seems the SWBF hype is spreading through the crew.
I'm waiting for Just Cause 3, only game I'm buying between now and years end.

We used to get them to post in here, but when it was busy it was missed a fair few times. I normally check em out first, if they are members of Russian Platoons I chin em off. Up to you, the game is pretty much dead now and I can't see it having a huge resurgence anytime soon.
Give me a nudge when you want a game, I still enjoy a few rounds.

I do fancy some bf4... lets see if we can get some midweek action going on discord
I uninstalled bf 4 a few weeks ago to make room for other games and tbh, I can't see myself returning to it, it just does't have the same appeal especially with DICE changing things just for the sake of it now 
I'm busy with these games atm and a few upcoming ones:
- assasins creed syndicate
- just cause 3
- fallout 4
- COD BO 3
- batman AK
- battlefront
I really fancy some hardline though so when I get a bigger SSD in the next few weeks, I'll be putting it back on.
Keeping a close eye on overwatch too.....

If it reviews well, holds its player base and drops 60-70% in price then I'll give it a go.
No way I'm going near that COD though... Lasted all of 5 minutes on the beta before installing.
All they need to do is up the level cap in BF4 to 150 and you'll all be back on that.

When you have lvlcap and xfactor already stating that the game has no depth and is going to get boring fast/die quick then you just know that it isn't going to do well for longevity. Like hardline, it has/had so much potential to be better.... Needs to be <£10 for me to consider.
tbh, at first I was excited for bf 5 after seeing the graphics of SWBF but now I am worried big time about the gameplay, I have a bad feeling that they are going to dumb it down to a similar level
And yeah, I probably would come back just to get ****bucket again and then never play until they increase the rank again

What they need to do is import the rank sytem from bf2!! People will worker harder for them badges! Tho they wont do it as they want a short life game so we'll buy the next game.
