It sounds like Pep won't be signing a new contract.

Pep goes to City. Ancelotti could well go to Bayern in that case.

What obvious candidate is there for us when we inevitably have to sack LvG? I hope there's some serious planning in place.

There will probably be a vacancy at Chelsea too. Would we want Mourinho now, is our squad good enough for him to work with?

Giggs is another potential disaster waiting to happen... though at this stage I'd take him over LvG, at least he'll try and attack.

Maybe he likes Van Gaals system? Neville does.

I highly doubt it, and Neville doesn't, he's just being diplomatic. :p

There are some reports today that we're in the running for Pep, but a lot of the Pep stuff could all be guesswork at this stage. It does sound like he'll be leaving though.

I think the next month will decide it really, if the football doesn't improve and the results somehow get worse, then LvG could and should go. If he doesn't, we'll assume the club don't have the bottle to sack him, lose out on Pep, and then hilarity will ensue.

It also sounds like Chelsea are making moves to get rid of Mourinho, with the likes of Hiddink coming in as caretaker. I suppose Jose could be an option for us. He's a very good manager who has somehow lost the staff and the players. I don't think he's sensational, but you can't argue with his record (though some have tried, with some semi-valid points). The question mark would be over his style of football, which can be quite dull, but once the team click it looks fine.

It's been coming.

I think there were forces beyond his control working against him, by the look of things.

A frankly astonishing collapse, given the quality of Chelsea's squad and their performance last season.

Man U should grab Mourinho, give him loads of cash and watch UTD win the title next or this season if they move quickly for him..:D

He always wanted the UTD job, maybe all of this is a ploy..

lol why? mourinho is just an above average manager who cant do **** all when the going gets tough.

They are the current champions, just let that sink it.

Yea, he's never been in this position before but that doesn't mean you sack the manager when the going gets tough.

We should. We can give him plenty of control, and plenty of money. He's always wanted the job anyway.

Yeah, Mourinho wouldn't have any trouble taking the job now, i would think he's feeling very hard done by and i presume he'd have no problem sticking the knive into Chelsea now where as before i don't think he would have done that to Chelsea.
