mines working fine,i swapped the high beam back to a normal bulb though, purely because they take a few seconds to warm up vs a normal bulb, but im not riding the bike yet

EDIT: they come with metal brackets to mount the ballast aswell, but you can hide/ziptie that anywhere

I would like to see the difference between LED's and HID's personally. I'm debating which one to go for... how long do you've to wait for them to heat up?

my friend is evily tempting me to get a track bike.... should not be wasting money >.<

I need more friends like him/her! :p

about 10-15 seconds to get fully white, but they are bright to start with, they just get fully bright in that time

biggest difference between led/hid is the price

no idea, even led's can blow, depends on the quality, hid's are filled with gas I think, led don't get as hot I would imagine

led do get fairly hot, most have a litlte fan on the back to keep them cool.

the leds i had were great for visibility, but the fan broke on one and one blew, but the bike had some electrical problems (faulty conector and reg rec) so not sure if that killed the led or if the heat did

yeah I just noticed those led ones are 80w and the hid are 55w so id say they run hotter due to the higher wattage?

If I were you I'd get led, purely because you have a reflector headlight and you might dazzle folks with a hid,i only fitted them due to a projector lense

Now the question is, do I go for the cheap LED or expensive like the ones tom_e, posted. I don't usually mind Chinese stuff as its made in the same factory as the branded products. lol

If you go led check the clearance you've got in your headlight as they've got a fair size heatsink attached to the rear.
The good thing about led is if anything goes wrong then you can switch them out for a standard bulb in 30 seconds as they keep the original connection whereas HID kits use a different connector.

Which ones did you go for in the end?
