***** The Official Division Thread *****

The game has infrequent stutter on PS4 where your character will pause moving for a second or two. Seems to happen once every half an hour or so not overly irritating in the DZ. Seems to happen less in the PvE zone.

The risk is that you can lose 100s of thousands of DZ funds and DZ XP and DZ keys when you die. People have dropped 5 DZ ranks after dieing as rogue for example.

Its just not worth it. The only people going rogue are those that do it accidentally.

Yep, hence why I was on at Terri last night not to take us rogue

Thanks for the scavenging tip by the way ;) No wonder my drops were **** haha
The XP loss is based on your total amount of XP. This is why you lose so much when going Rogue in the high DZ levels.

The atmosphere in this game is amazing, not enjoyed an atmosphere like this in a game since Alan Wake.

Just walking along the streets at night in a blizzard when you here enemies talking and diving for cover to scope them out is brilliant.

They've done a fantastic job in that regard.

They've got the risk / reward balance wrong with going rogue.

The most reward you get for going rogue is 1500 DZ funds and that's after surviving a rogue 5 manhunt. Plus up to 9 items you may have picked up from the players on the way.

Nothing in comparison to having the whole dark zone after you.

I agree, there should be a big reward for going rogue and surviving the whole cool down time. Hopefully it's changed and then it won't just be griefers who want to go rogue.

I'm completely fine with losing that much, if you can gain that much by surviving the man hunt.

Completely agree that the balance should be there and it shouldn't just enable people to go rogue without fear of implications. I just feel they've tipped the balance too much compared with what it was at the beta and probably need to tip the balance back the other way a bit.

Does the season pass give you stuff atm outside what I assume is a useless shotgun and some clothing?

ps3ud0

Nope.

At lower levels I found the shotgun to be quite useful for rushing enemies. The first roll I picked up dealt extra damage when enemies were within a specific radius (basically the radius it would actually be useful at). Got me out of a few sticky situations early on... :)

EDIT: Sorry I should say I have the Gold edition so it came with the season pass. I obviously wouldn't buy the season pass just for the shotty :p

Just ordered from simplygames at £35. Would usually go ps4 but my plus sub ran out ages ago and its a 10er more expensive on there, so for the sake of a slightly lower resolution its worth the saving imo!

Hardly use the xb1 so gives me an excuse not to sell it for a bit longer :D

This is one of the few games where I genuinely wish there was a mobile app. Managing your inventory etc from in the game is a real hassle at times, they really need to work more on the UI.

So people - its been a week - do you see this as a 'Destiny killer' as the games sites were trying to push?

I get the feeling theyll complement each other (too well) and people will jump between them when content gets released. Could even be somewhat symbiotic where both still make expansion sales while customers dont have as much time to exhaust content...

ps3ud0

Urinates all over Destiny from a great height for me, but then I never was much of a big Destiny fan.

What talents are people using? I'm using the recoil reduction when entering cover, but i'm not sure what else to use. Doesn't really seem like many standouts.

It's going to be an even bigger time sink than destiny the amount of coins needed for gear and rerolls and all the possible builds......

Personally I think Bungie have wasted Destiny in year 2 and so far this is filling the grindfest gap for me.

It remains to be seen what it's like when I get to the end game or finally venture into the dark zone but like you, I'm soloing a lot and taking my time. Every time an expansion came out for Destiny I absolutely hammered it (and enjoyed it at the time) but I've come to the conclusion that there's no point in doing that really.

I'm pretty sure I won't be spending any more cash on Destiny as I don't think it could ever recover the year 1/Vault of Glass vibe for me so I might see you around in the Division instead.
