not a fan of the changes in this patch. They've got it all wrong imo.
They removed the phoneix credit requirement for purchasing blueprints from the dark zone safe house - not really an issue since most people never complained they never had enough credits to buy blueprints.
They've then massively nerfed crafting to the point it now takes 150 blue materials to craft one single high end item. This isn't stated but its obviously designed to nuke the people who create an alt, transfer items over to them, sell for money, buy cheap blues then transfer back across for de-constructing. This massively nerfs that to the point i'm not sure many will bother to continue to do it.
problem is here that there is no such thing as purple crafting material. So now it's going to take almost 8 purple weapons for 1 high end weapon part. So they've massively increased the cost of crafting. People were complaining that the game was too much of a crafting simulator, so I get why they've done it. But they've not addressed the reason why. And they've only removed the artificial barrier to infinite progression (division tech) on some level 31s. No words of which one, no words on the level 30 blueprints that need division tech and presumably all level 32s still need it ?
So why have an artificial barrier to slow players down, and react to the demands to take that barrier down by making it even harder still. The changes that ease this ( lowering rank requirements, removing the requirement for phoenix credits) address something that didn't really need addressing. Had they removed division tech altogether and just done this crafting change on its own, I could have lived with it. But this solution is bizarre
They need to do one of the following things as well
1) remove division tech altogether. I could live with needing 150 blue parts to craft one high end if the division tech requirement was removed from all blueprints
2) allow the ability to recalibrate all stats including talents or maybe pick some attributes during the craft process. One of the reasons people keep re-crafting stuff again and again is because so often what you craft is of no use to you because of talents / bonuses you dont want. I could live with not being able to craft a piece of armor 20 times if I could chose my 3 main attributes during the craft process leaving only the minor attributes and talents to chance.
3) dissuade the use of crafting by providing guaranteed sources of level 32 high ends. The screenshots in the twitch stream showed the new set gear rolling with stats of really poor level 30 stuff. What's the point in introducing more options for your gear and just giving you more opportunity for crap quality stuff to drop. The stuff drops so rarely as it is, there's no sense in having stuff drop that infrequently when its rubbish quality. make it rain poor quality high ends so we can dismantle them for materials. I've had like 4 high end weapons drop during my entire 150 hours of the division.
