Using credits for recalibration is a considerable improvement.

Not too impressed with the increase of crafting materials needed to make blue and yellow items mind.

Increased costs for converting crafting materials and crafting High-End items:
10 Standard (Green) materials instead of 5 to craft 1 Specialized (Blue) material
15 Specialized (Blue) materials instead of 5 to craft 1 High-End (Gold) material
10 High-End (Gold) materials instead of 8 to craft 1 lvl 31 High-End (Gold) item

When is the patch coming out ?

Next Tuesday.

Crafting is going to become even more infuriating, not only do you get ****** rolls 95% of the time it's also going to take you 3 x as long to make that crap craft.

The change makes little sense.

That is unbelievably annoying and doesn't seem to achieve much apart from making an unrewarding gear-farm even less rewarding? :/

Good fun running with Mach and Pearson right up until we got Delta'd followed by the Mike error...

Highlight was Pearson deciding we should go rouge, killing two agents and then getting absolutely steam rolled by the third.:D

Oh and death alley, can't forget death alley. Should have guessed something was up as the enemies were spawning out of nowhere.

I *think* I got some decent loot. I wasn't paying much attention to what dropped (I know I got a high end chest) but got disconnected before I couldn't check it all out in my stash.

EDIT: Thanks to Facebaker for the relatively painless run through the Lincoln Tunnel checkpoint mission.

EDIT2:

Well that (increased conversion cost) is crap. One step forward, one step back...

The respawn mechanic needs a timeout, I've been sat here for nearly 10 minutes whilst a group of Germans sat and chatted and died repeatedly to the sniper at the end of Lincoln tunnel. Eventually they ressed me and 30 seconds later the mission was done. Put a 1 min timer on it to prevent zerging or something but let me respawn eventually!

not a fan of the changes in this patch. They've got it all wrong imo.

They removed the phoneix credit requirement for purchasing blueprints from the dark zone safe house - not really an issue since most people never complained they never had enough credits to buy blueprints.

They've then massively nerfed crafting to the point it now takes 150 blue materials to craft one single high end item. This isn't stated but its obviously designed to nuke the people who create an alt, transfer items over to them, sell for money, buy cheap blues then transfer back across for de-constructing. This massively nerfs that to the point i'm not sure many will bother to continue to do it.

problem is here that there is no such thing as purple crafting material. So now it's going to take almost 8 purple weapons for 1 high end weapon part. So they've massively increased the cost of crafting. People were complaining that the game was too much of a crafting simulator, so I get why they've done it. But they've not addressed the reason why. And they've only removed the artificial barrier to infinite progression (division tech) on some level 31s. No words of which one, no words on the level 30 blueprints that need division tech and presumably all level 32s still need it ?

So why have an artificial barrier to slow players down, and react to the demands to take that barrier down by making it even harder still. The changes that ease this ( lowering rank requirements, removing the requirement for phoenix credits) address something that didn't really need addressing. Had they removed division tech altogether and just done this crafting change on its own, I could have lived with it. But this solution is bizarre

They need to do one of the following things as well

1) remove division tech altogether. I could live with needing 150 blue parts to craft one high end if the division tech requirement was removed from all blueprints
2) allow the ability to recalibrate all stats including talents or maybe pick some attributes during the craft process. One of the reasons people keep re-crafting stuff again and again is because so often what you craft is of no use to you because of talents / bonuses you dont want. I could live with not being able to craft a piece of armor 20 times if I could chose my 3 main attributes during the craft process leaving only the minor attributes and talents to chance.
3) dissuade the use of crafting by providing guaranteed sources of level 32 high ends. The screenshots in the twitch stream showed the new set gear rolling with stats of really poor level 30 stuff. What's the point in introducing more options for your gear and just giving you more opportunity for crap quality stuff to drop. The stuff drops so rarely as it is, there's no sense in having stuff drop that infrequently when its rubbish quality. make it rain poor quality high ends so we can dismantle them for materials. I've had like 4 high end weapons drop during my entire 150 hours of the division.

Agee with the above, make it cost a fortune in crafting materials by all means but at least allow us to roll more than 1 attribute. It's bad enough crafting for something you want already, but to make it cost considerably more in materials is just bonkers.

I've got a question, I'm a crafting noob, done hardly nothing crafting wise but I've recently acquired a Purple (superior is it ?) Vector 45 ACP. I want to beef it up even more by the means of crafting but I've only got the Green and Blue blueprints for it. Where can I pick up the Purple blueprint ?

Assuming you mean gun mods (extended mag etc) I got most of mine from mission end boss drops / random loot drops / DZ / Advanced weapons vendor. I *think* there are some that can be attained via side mission rewards but they may only be blues.

You can buy High end mods in the BoO from the special gear vendor (appears upstairs on the left hand side once you unlock that upgrade).

If you mean the gun blueprint itself I haven't seen a Superior ACP blueprint at all. There is a High end one available again from the special gear vendor in BoO.

There is no purple vector blueprint. Not every type of weapon / quality combo has a blueprint.

If you want a purple vector your best bet is to buy one from the vendors that pop up from time to time. Either that or save up phoenix credits when you get to rank 30 and get the yellow high end blueprint :D

What are some good perks for the yellow vector blueprint? I made 3 last night, can't remember what I've got on them but fingers crossed I've got some of them.

I appreciate many on here are significantly further into the game than myself but as a fresh level 30 last night I was somewhat frustrated.

Run the daily hard modes for Tuesday and then into Wednesday, no problems and enjoyed them. Didn't attempt the Challenging one as I'm not sure what gear level I should be at?

I then entered the DZ and proceeded to get wasted by Rogue players at very high levels for the next 3 hours. Not particularly fun if I'm honest. I understand that 1.1 will bring new DZ brackets based on gear level next week so I'll maybe just hold off until that.

Quick question. Should I prioritise what I spend my PxC on? Full level 30 purple guys at the moments. Cheers all.

Brutal and Deadly are by far the best imo.

Then one of Destruction, Ferocious or Self Preserved.

First things I would buy are the extended magazine blueprint and the Vector blueprint, that should up your DPS quite a bit. From there, it's a case of just replacing your purples with HE items as you go, some blueprints are from the DZ some are Base of Operations.
