It's a TV show not a documentary lol.

I take all of my favourite shows seriously. :p

I agree with MooMoo. Tywin was unrivalled in his scheming, and Cersei isn't even in the same sport let alone league. She wants to be, she might think she is, but she's not. She has power and influence but doesn't see the moves the same way Tywin did.

She's also far too proud. Tywin was proud, but he knew when to genuflect and when to exert power.

Tywin was a brilliant tactician, never blinded by rage only fuelled by it, and played the long game for the good of the house's future. Cersei is blinded by malice, spite and petty jealousy and l can't see any further than her nose. I hope she dies horribly at the hands of an angry mob.

The same Iron Born that sacked Winterfell while the Starks were away, leading to the Boltons getting it in the first place?

Yeah, I can see them jumping at the chance to ally.

Quite.

Iron Born will likely side with dragon girl, how else is she going to get all the horse warriors over the sea?

Dany? I think you need to watch the first episode again and first series. She was always carrying a bit of meat in that. Not that it bothers me I'm just saying she's no different now really to how she started.

For what it's worth, I'd heard she'd signed a no nudity clause so I'm guessing there was editing involved.

I've heard many people criticise the current series but to be honest, for me, it would be all to easy to just want the big battles and major plot points all at once but I'm enjoying the character building.

Only criticism is that it would be good to have a bit more focus on a specific character, as in previous series, but it's clear they are building up to some specific battles and now Dany has an even bigger army, you can really see some big scenes to come!!

I'm finding this series too fast paced rather than too slow. It seems to have lost depth by pushing the storylines forward so quickly.

I do think the series has suffered dramatically now we are way off the books.

I just want to know what Cersei is up to.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend? She's too spiteful for that, so I'll be disappointed if there's nothing more to it. There must be a trap for the Tyrells in that plan somewhere. Cersei is a good schemer, almost as good as her father, but she's incapable of his emotional detachment. Instead, she's spiteful, vengeful, and doesn't easily forget even imagined slights. Would she really pass up the opportunity to try elimination her two most immediate problems at the same time?

nto sure she'd do anything to them at the moment - she absolutely needs them... the current warden of the North turned against her by marrying a Stark... but anyone else in the North who'd oppose him hates her too. Dorn is an enemy too now and the Vale is about to show their colours too.

The Tyrells are her only allies, without them they're screwed.

I know . 2/10 elbows too pointy, would not bang

elbows too flabby more like... :D

It is a bit ridiculous for people to complain - she is very pretty and has a normal body by modern standards/western diet. I guess back then when people weren't eating so much sugar and she's been in the wilderness for days etc.. she'd surely be a bit skinnier and not have puppy fat. But then again could easily point out that the men, while muscular/strong, shouldn't have bodybuilder/gym muscle type physiques as they're not necking protein shakes and doing pointless vanity workouts to build muscle in various places for the sake of it. Their arms should probably be smaller too.

The plot has really diverged from the books in some areas. Theon, Sansa, the Iron Born, Varys and a number of missing characters whom I assume won't amount to much in the books if they can be so casually ignored in the series.

Still here's hoping for violence and some more movement toward clsoure in the major plots.

I'm not sure it has really - the Iron Born hasn't yet... we're still catching up with the books. Theon hasn't really either.

nope she's stated that she's happy with nudity, no CGI in that scene

I'm enjoying Season 6 much more than Season 5.

Who was that character who killed Theon's father? The actor reminded me of Ewan McGregor (Don't think it's him though).

Dany's gorgeous for the record. :p

:o

She's stunning mate, and isn't fat in the slightest. Think you fell into a sarchasm :D

Book Spoilers
I'm specifically thinking the timing of the Kingsmoot and the election for Euron is before Theon leaves Winterfell with false Sansa (if memory correct). So Theon can't support his sister, who loses. I also thought in the books Theon's sister doesn't attempt a rescue but is thinking about it after Euron arrives.

We also haven't seen Old and Young Griff, Jorah seems to have inherited ld Griff's greyscale and Young Griff isn't in the series at all. So I'm guessing in the books they come to naught unless book and TV diverge heavily.

Varys is in KL in the books not Mereen and seems to be a source of chaos and discord.

The show has definitely streamlined the books significantly and a good few arcs remain but changed to absorb missing ones.

Book....
Yeah I didn't comment re: Varys as you're quite right that is indeed a departure from the books and Sansa has partly taken the place of another character too

I more just meant the Iron born, we're essentially catching up with them still relative to the books, Theon arriving sooner or later won't make much difference as his status is completely diminished

I wonder if the TV show might have thrown in a spolier for the book fans re: Old and Young Griff in that by not including them and having Varys move locations + support Danny they might have revealed that that plot line is going no-where... maybe he isn't actually a Targ after all or maybe he dies/is defeated

NO.

If anything, the men used to wielding weapons and wearing heavy armour since the age of 10 (or thereabouts) would be even bigger.

From digging up the remains of gladiators in Italy, they have discovered that their arm/shoulder bones (size and density) were 4-5 times or more greater than a 'normal' man. With the muscle that comes from building up this density and carrying very heavy weapons you would expect them to be enormous. Probably bigger than most of the people on the GOT tv show.

It's the exact same criticism every single season without fail. Those same folk will be raving about it once all 10 episodes have aired and taking the thing in as a whole. Can't have payoff without buildup!

Got a source for that claim?

Yes, obviously physically active people eating a lot of food and carrying heavy weight around would likely be larger. I didn't say otherwise. Errol's claims were bordering on the ridiculous however.

Not to mention that they were refuting a point that dowie didn't make. He stated that people wouldn't have body-builder-like physiques, not that they would be small of stature.
