And the bad luck continues

Lovely stone chip so it will be another visit from the nice man st national windscreens
In the drivers view and bigger than 10mm so new screen time :(

And about half hour after that happened it was seriously pooped on by an exploding seagull

Should have stayed in bed :)

Rotten luck 233! I hope not but the next unlucky thing will be a flat tyre!

But if a chipped windscreen and an annoying smashed window is all that goes wrong you wont be doing badly at all in the long run :)

Add in the front end that looks like someone has taken a shotgun to it and I'm only feeling the love right now

Can see it in the painters before the years out :)

Fords recommendation is every 18k

due to the amount time it spends idling and the stop start use I tend to half the ford interval, eg every 9k for the mk5.

costs are pretty low as I do it myself. and the intermediate is nothing more than an oil and filter.

And here I am wondering how reliable a diesel will be for my 15-18k/year

as long as you drive a diesel properly and look after it they will run forever,

they all have their own little quirks,

ie the pug 2l engines (as found in the Mondeo need a good spanking every now and then to prevent them clogging up,

the 1.6s are very fussy with using the right oil, cheap oil their scrap after 100k

Why are Ford still stuck in the dark ages with sevicing?

2 services at 19k miles!?

Nothing to do with Ford, everything to do with a driver who's prudent and services as per requirements rather than sales blurb.

Enough said.

In acme's chair.
19K isn't bad out of a pair of front tyres is it..? Not outstanding, but not bad.

I doubt the rainsports will last that long. Slightly odd choice for this kind of mileage no? Don't they wear really fast?
