US: Fear the Walking Dead

I hate everyone on this show, apart from probably Nick who actually seems to be the most level-headed person there. I only watch it for the fit daughter, and I still want to throw her overboard most of the time. So many terrible decisions, too many do gooders. I refuse to believe any group would be this retarded in real life. They're almost as bad as knobhead Rick and his group of failures on the other side of the country - and that's quite an achievement.

The only thing I was happy about was that cocky **** getting stabbed in the stomach, and then they go and ruin it by giving him medical attention and keeping him alive. Just what on earth...

They should throw some episodes in with just Nick, Strand, Daniel and whoever the women from the plane is having to navigate a city environment sort of left 4 dead style (maybe a city which is still in the final stages of being overrun) - I think that would make for some good TV.

What the hell happened, everyone lost their minds.

The best person in the show has gone now too, as if you would leave your wife like that  after your wife and step daughter have told you that your son is crazy you still side with him.. :o What a ******* mess.

Its all getting a bit tiresome now, I think the writers need some new ideas.

I think the writers just aren't even trying - that episode its like someone sketched out an outline then got the work experience kid to fill in the blanks using a rejected script from dusk till dawn.

There were so many continuity errors and the likes with the writing in that episode I don't even know where to begin - I especially liked the bit where they drive through a horde of zombies who apparently all just nicely got out of the way for the vehicle.

They should just take some leaves out the book from episode 2 or 3 or so from the original series of the walking dead - stick most of the characters in some camp like the quarry and take some of the more interesting ones and take them into a city like environment or similar.

I managed 10 mins of it and turned it off, might try again later tonight to see wtf it was all about.

I doubt you'll be any the wiser - can't see myself sticking with it beyond the next episode.

To be fair there was a couple of scenes that were quite intense but they also felt completely out of place like they didn't fit into the walking dead universe at all.

Just watched it..crud.

One thing in this that really gets on my **** ive noticed in other shows. You have 2 Hispanic characters one tied in a chair and the mad cow with her pet zombies, WHY do they need to go from speaking English, to Spanish to English again? It's just like a random nod to say "oh by the way we can speak Spanish". 1 sentence in English, into Spanish, then back to English again... in shows like Dexter that was also irritating with some of the characters speaking Cuban-Spanish for 1 or 2 words then back to English again.:confused:

I just find it irritating and pointless, one minute you're follow the dialogue, then you have to read subs, then you're back to listening the dialogue again.

I guess I don't actually switch between languages when just talking to one other person that much... unless it's to say an expression, or say something I can't remember how to say. And yeah I can see that as being annoying if you can't understand what they're saying. Tbh I have english subs on all the time, even when they are speaking english, just makes it easier for me to follow if they mumble or whatever, so maybe the sudden appearance of the embedded subs isn't so jarring to me.

I think it's fun when they speaking spanish because I can understand it, so I compare the subs with what they are actually saying.

I think I've only really stopped watching 2 shows in the last 5 years or so, because I just wasn't interested... this is really close to making number 3.

I really tried to like FTWD but, for me, in just glossed over the most interesting aspect of the whole thing. I wanted to see the gradual fall of civilisation. That was where S1 seemed to be going then all of a sudden everything was over and it's on to a boat. What? If anyone has read the "Black Tide Rising" series by John Ringo, that gives a slow-burn, effective description of the fall of a civilisation due to a zombie outbreak. It's great and quite possible (within the confines of anything about the undead). FTWD just felt like it couldn't really be bothered as it might be a little too heavy on the budget so it just skipped it all. Oh well, that's me out. I've dropped both FTWD and TWD now. Such promise, so wasted.

Last episode was probably the most infuriating. Are actual human beings writing this or just robots with a loose understanding of reality?

Why did Travis have no shoes?!

Why didn't Daniel tell the others about Celia keeping those walkers alive?!

Why is Nick being an idiot for no apparent reason?!

Ugh. And yet I'm still watching.

I had no idea that was the season break - are they actually trying to kill the show? leaving it on an episode like that is gonna flat line viewer numbers.

I can't even bring myself to watch this episode, the last one was so crap. Sounds like this is another disaster.
