OcUK being greedy?

The way I see it is this. Are OCUK the cheapest on the internet? Often not, but they're never far off. However, at OCUK not only do I get free next day delivery, I get headache free service if anything ever goes wrong or I change my mind.

I'm personally happy to pay more just for that peace of mind.

Y'all been eatin long enough now stop bein greedy
Just keep it real partner give to the needy
Grips is touchy, so don't make me wait
**** around and I'm go'a bite you and snatch the plate

You do realize that free shipping allows them to charge more on the product?

What a silly thread to make lol.

Maybe Greg, but I think it's done OCUK more good than harm. People have now read the thread and see why a lot of us are willing to pay a little extra for great service. Mind you, that's not always the case....I usually find OCUK to be very competitive if not cheaper than a lot of places.

When I got my Fury it was the stock clocked one and I had ordered the slightly overclocked one (No Overclockers dream jokes please :p) so there was a £20-£30 discrepancy between the two. I emailed OCUK and the difference was refunded right away.

A first rate service is worth its weight in gold and everyone knows this.

Agreed.

It costs a LOT of money to train staff properly in customer service and all that jazz. By all means buy from somewhere that doesn't bother. But hell mend you if something goes wrong.

I love how people think retailers will look out for their best interest. They exist to make money, which is why I've never had much loyalty to a particular shop.

Not strictly true. Many businesses exists because it is the owners passion. Sure they need to make money but its not all about money. I ran my business because I loved it and loved doing that work. The money was nice but it wasn't the main reason for running it.

Granted when you take a company public then it is all about the money, but not so with private companies.

Hi there

So will someone make a thread saying "OcUK is a charity"
Considering on MSI Gaming X and Asus Strix OcUK is nearly £100 cheaper than a competitor.

It goes both ways, sometimes were cheapest, sometimes we are not, but one thing for sure our service rocks and we are always first and have the best range of product. 1080 custom with 21 models is proof of that. :)

your msi pricing is superb compared to a competitor at over £700!

Great company, amazing support, free delivery (loyal customers) and a brilliant community make Overclockers for me my go to place when buying new parts and has been for a very long time.

Now that's not to say I don't look elsewhere for price comparisons etc because that would be foolish not to, but factor in all the above and Overclockers are usually my winner.

To say they are greedy is a little overboard I think.

.

Loyal customer equals having 100 posts on an internet forum?

I supported OCuk long before I joined the forums...
