Can I add you? I tend to run solo as my PS4 owning mates have all given up on the game already. Sick of getting my stash stolen by rogues!
 
So my rant about how solo players get ****ed over in the dark zone made the front page on reddit.

Real mixture of responses. Plenty agreeing and blaming it on the develoeprs not thinking it out properly. Mixed in with a few who obviously are those people saying "tough **** thats the way the dark zone is supposed to be. Its not supposed to be fair"

Definitely agree with you Fr0dders. I think the best solution would be to implement a choice of solo player or group DZ when entering. PvP is still enabled in both instances but you can't group up in solo. Obviously people could form loose groups but they'd always run the risk of going rogue on each other and damaging each other with their skills. Much higher risk if your BFB is gonna take down your team mate!

Would make for a more fun time all round if you ask me.

Decent post on reddit, I agree with you completely.
99% of the time if two or more people turn up to my extraction it means I'm about to get blasted and my loot stolen.

That's what I was getting at. You could still team up in solo with prox chat etc. but you couldn't form a group meaning you could all hurt each other
 
Its only half a fix, I've seen videos on youtube where people just tank literally everything and win 1vs4 fights. Imagine builds like that in a solo only DZ, they could just go around and ruin everyones day.

I think it is an issue with balance, and unfair too put 4 man groups in with solo players. I think too some degree we need trolls that run around making everyone upset, the idea of the DZ is a farming area where your day can and should be ruined by others, there should be constant fighting too steal each others loots and so on. It just needs too tone down the gap between the gear of a typical player, and the gear off someone that has dedicated years of their life already too the game.
 
If grinding for higher gear was bad enough, the constant changing of gear, re rolling stats to get better DPS and toughness is taking me away from actually playing the game.
 
Its more like D3, Destiny is very simple stat wises. I think the whole re rolling and stuff is a good idea on Division, the builds are pretty different, and it gives you interesting things too try out. Only issue is if the grind is mind numbing like some parts are. Undergrounds hopefully helps with this since its more like rifts in D3.

weapon changes
*adding bonuses rather than removing
*lmg added suppression - add dmg to target out of cover ~25%
*shotgun - added amount of stagger to target (but not PvP yet), 30% dmg buff above lvl 30
*AR - armour destruction added (but not PvP yet) ~20% armour dmg
*smg - changed bonus to crit damage, so "slight buff". vector and aug reduced base dmg by ~10% to balance as were OP
*M1A - if you're spamming shots will now be less accuate

keeping an eye on the "tanktitian situation"

sentry/striker combo - reduced bonus from 2/3 piece and moved benefit to a 5 piece bonus instead

special ammo nerf - incend duration reduced by ~75%, explosive will do same dmg as bullet 1:1

E3 build "battle rifle" - not released just yet, not quite ready

new weapon families
*fully auto shotgun, drum mag. crosshair more accurate with less ammo remaining
*AR - more damage when not on skill cooldown
*SVD - on kill, next shot WILL crit hit
*PP19 smg - more crit hits = faster reload

So with one patch they've nerfed the Aug, nerfed those running the 2 / 3 piece striker and sentry pieces and nerfed the incendiary and explosive amo.

Good bye meta !!
 
Poorly executed IMO. Unless you had god rolls, it was hard to build a tanky high DPS build. There was always an element of glass cannon, and that was ok working with another DPS player and 2 skill/tanks.

However, it is relatively easy to get 2 piece final measure and some tacticians pieces, then stack stamina for a tank build. People were already trolling in the DZ with 600K toughness and rolling around with 6 players trying to kill them. These new changes will just make that the new meta.

Everything will take longer, PvP, DZ 5-6, challenge modes. They have nerfed overall DPS too harshly.

......We'll keep an eye on the tank-tition players, but in the mean time we'll make it harder for you to kill them by nerfing the DPS gearsets and the popular SMG's that we already made weaker. Great. Cheers

Not the smartest cookie in the jar but would it not be easier just to buff the other sets?

People don't use them massive because they are arse!!!!
 
Goodbye Division. They've basically admitted they know the Tanktician build is too strong, yet all they've done is nerfed the one realistic way you can combat it by killing the Striker/Sentry build, as well as nerfing both the Aug and M1A, alongside the explosive rounds which were virtually required to take down a Tanktician. They are now basically forcing everyone to use the Tanktician build in the DZ now, which is about as far from promoting a diverse set of builds as you like.

They have hugely dropped the ball here and unless the patch info has been poorly communicated and there are going to be additional buffs we're not being told about, I will be uninstalling the game soon, even though I own the season pass.
 
Pretty hacked off with the changes,

As a semi casual player it's taken me an age of grinding to get a relatively decent build 175/400/20 3 sentry 3 FM, very much geared towards PvE. I also use the m1a and Aug which cost me all my DZ credits.

I simply don't have any other viable build, now I find out I'll lose 10% weapon damage on the Aug and nerfs to my sentry bonuses.

If they know a large proportion of the player base uses these but they want to promote diverse builds there's got to be a better way than this?

And don't even get me started on the unkillable tanks which are about to become even more unkillable ...

What's so annoying is this is a great game, one if my favourites, grrrrrr
