Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Someone just bought my Black Gold 182 Full Fat with Recaros from Bristol Street motors in Nottingham

He phoned me to talk about it, sounds like he intends to flip it so will be back on the market soon no doubt.

If you see FM54 OKU give me a shout and I can walk you through the history

Speedlines are here and have booked them in on Saturday to get some new rubber. Gone with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 XL's.

Next job after that is the brakes, got new OEM Brembo pads, discs and new retaining pins.

Seriously debating putting the spoiler on. Once you go, there is no going back.

Anyone nerd some inner track rods for a clio 172?

Found a set in a box under my desk.

have zero need for them.

free to anyone who actually needs them... postage costs only

Local to me (the only one within about 50 miles :o) and a mate of a mates. Absolutely love the colour... but £4k. Almost double what I was planning to spend! Is that well overpriced?

I sold mine for £1k, with an extra 20ish k miles on the clock.

Not sure what there going for, but £4k isn't far off what I paid nearly 5 years ago.

There's plenty around for £2k, even same age less mileage. I was just wondering if any of the mods/colour made a difference but doubted it would that much. Might offer 2.5k and see if that counts as 'ono' :p

For £4k, your getting into 182 Trophy money pretty much.

If it's in almost perfect condition, then i'd say £3k max is nearer the value. It looks like it's been looked after though, and a lot of the stuff it's had done recently may need to be done on a £2k car.

You may need to change the brake pads as the CL5 are a track pad too. The tyres are also a track/road tyre, so wet weather grip might not be so great. Just things to factor in.

I bought my second 182 3 weeks ago for £1750, this had the JMS RS2 fitted and just needed new brakes all round. It also included a second set of Oz wheels that i've just sold and a load of spare parts.

with 100k on the clock, he is dreaming. i know this day and age people should not be fixated by mileage, but they are

Just tried the cable tie mod on my 200 to fix the flat spot/kangarooing, will see how it goes on the drive to work tomorrow. Also ordered a Scorpion non-res catback :)

That non-res will make it even worse! Worse thing I did to mine, so I have ordered a silencer to put it back to stock. Cable tie mod did nothing to fix the issue, for me anyway.

So I am missing having a hot hatch, can't quite stretch to a cash purchase for a new Fiesta ST without a loan/finance for about 4 to 5k due to imminent house purchase and keep looking at pics of Clio Renaultsport 200's around 09 reg... perhaps with a 7k budget if I was to sell my BMW and pocket a grand from said sale, I could get something nice?

However I know nothing about them. Talk to me, what is good and what is bad, I can try and collate a list of things to check should I go see a few to get a feel for them :)

Also spec wise... full fat, cup, what's the difference really? I don't want the stiffest version for my usage so if the cup is that, I can live without cheaper plastics I think I read about, it being stiffer, Recaro's etc.
