Who here owns a Renaultsport?

He left his bike/keys/wallet with me, bike was easily worth 3 times the cost of the car.

I'm going to use clickmechanic to get someone out with a dedicated code reader, going to cost me about £45, least give me a starting point of what i'm dealing with.
Or

Buy a Bluetooth OBD reader. and the app Torque.

£10 and you have a code reader and a diagnostic tool all in one :D

Are they worthwhile, saw a few threads at cliosport kinda poo pooing them.

Happy to spend a tenner and give it a try though.

EDIT: Found one on Amazon, £9, coming tomorrow thanks to Prime...free returns if it's no good :)

Thanks Diagro

Reader came last night, within 5 minutes had my error code which is a Single Cylinder Misfire.

I guess the first thing here is to replace the sparkplugs?

Nice car mate! Could you share some more pictures?

Sure, these are a few from the day I collected it:

Decided to take a look at renaultsport Clio'

seems trying to find one with the recaro seats is a hard task and I am getting confused with all the different models in the "sport" range.

Would like to get the full fat version but I don't know which version that is :P

buyers tips?

how do these cope with high miles?

still need to sit in one as I am unsure on the interior. I am used to basic interiors though so hopefully wont put me off too much as I love the exterior styling

Which one are you after? A 172/182, a 197 or a 200? Or even a new 200T?

Budget?

Full fat is a normal Renaultsport Clio which has climate control and cruise control etc but with the cup pack - easiest way to spot this on the 200 is the red brake calipers. Word of warning on the 200, some of them have had gearbox issues and needed replacing in/outside warranty, the ones outside of warranty have had to do battle with Renault to get them to contribute towards the replacement.

My 182 is on 107,000 and it's fine as long as they're looked after.

that would help wouldnt it :P

would like a 200

budget would be absolutely maximum 7k but nearer 6k is better, don't know wether to just get a mint 197 rather than stretching to a 200

are the recaros worth looking out for? or are the standard seats just as good?

Its just a cup, that why it doesn't have climate control etc.

You definitely need to find one with recaros - helps massively come resale too.

Black badge, blue center caps, that worn wheel :(

couldn't see the wheel on my phone. and whats wrong with a coloured badge and center caps?

my car has been debadged and front badge is due to be painted black/anthracite

full service history, regular oil changes, waxed every month, good tyres all round. yet you would discount it as it has no badges.....

Yeah 100% want recaros they just look better and finish the car off.

finding one with everything seems like a mean feat

none of them the full fat with recaro though is what I mean. all missing at least 1 thing
