Nvidia Updates GeForce Experience - Accounts and Passwords Now Mandatory

tbh i dont install the GFE or any of the tosh NVIDIA provide

If they remove access to the Website Driver then thell lose a lot of customers.

we have many servers running Geforce for CUDA i dont install GFE because why would i on a server/workstation.

I never install the AMD version either, that sucks and makes things worse. For me it crashed my games the last time I tried it lol.

A new Game Ready driver has been released today and is available via the website, so seems like this is a non-issue for those that didn't use GFE in the first place.

Because in Nv's infinite wisdom:

Interestingly, it does not include GeForce Experience 3.0 (new UI, mandatory login)

they decided to keep the login **** storm on the low down for their next release.:p

Yeah it's ok, they just want to keep it all safe for us and away from (very profitable!) prying eyes.

/s

This is the big worry though. They could easily log a hell of a lot of information about our PC application usage and sell it on. Worse still, what happens if Geforce experience gets compromised by a malicious third party?

I guess Guru will now just be linking to the log in/register page for you to get them when they are out, and if they just get posted up in the forums by members, the mods will probably have to remove them, can see that happening on here as well.

Imagine torrenting Nv drivers.:eek::o:p

Enforcing the removal from places like here and Guru will probably cause a larger distaste than the actual signup.

My only real concern is if it means not having older stable back up drivers at hand.

I almost always wait before I install a new driver these days just to make sure they are fine-having even skipped a fair few already due to the amount of times they've caused hardware failures.

A bit of tin foil hat wearing in this thread lol

Not really peeps should have the option to do what ever opt in or out ...

just do not wish to have any bloat ware on my pc GFE being one of many that's out there.

Everything now wants to be registered social linked why should it....
..i detest this kind of practice..

What's next having to register log in before your allowed to make your hot cupa in a morning..

Glad I never installed GFE - that box is always un-ticked. I never liked the idea of it changing settings for me - that's one of the best things about PC gaming.

I just download the drivers and install the basics. I've yet to install and use the GayForce Experience. Not sure what it would give me... :/ I know what Shadowplay is, but there's a load of capture tools out there.

GeForce experience is great, never had a problem with it so signing into it is for me a non issue, just like signing into anything else on PC?.
