Lots would say he has done a very good job, why do you say otherwise? The result after the referendum was what he spent the past 20 years fighting for wasn't it?

Leave out whether you like him or not, i dont know any other politician that has done what Farage has done, or even come close in the past 20 years.

I'm not sure that persuading a country to self-destruct could be seen as doing a good job, unless of course you were an enemy of that country.

Really don't want to see Theresa May enter power, purely because of her acts in her current role, i simply wouldn't trust her. Guess i've only got one other option and that's not great either. When's the next general election?!

As a politician, he's the most successful politician of my lifetime. As an MEP he was lazy and ineffective at representing his constituents' interests in the EU, a case in point would be when he failed to turn up to over 95% of the fisheries meetings woke complaining about EU quotas.

He failed to turn up to 99.7% of the fisheries meetings. Shocking tbh.

Except that you need a vote in parliament to have an election and let's face it, the Labour Party isn't going to vote for one as they are fearful that they will be wiped out and the MPs who voted against article 50 won't vote for a GE for fear of losing their seat.

So where would that leave us? I suppose according to the leavers on here, the "people" will take to the streets and "turn it red with blood"

Could get nasty this.

I am quite looking forward to Theresa May as PM. I believe that she would be a courageous leader for the UK. Certainly she is the best of the current crop.

About 10 minutes after May becomes PM and says she won't activate Article 50.

There was an interesting take on this mentioned on the Daily Politics Show today. In essence when we finally hammer out a deal with the EU on what Brexit will actually mean for Britain, there could be another referendum put to the electorate to decide if we want to go ahead with the negotiated terms or might we want to think again.
