German train 'axe attack'

And amazingly some people will still bury their heads in the sand.

Media is doing the best it can to hide it all but snippets lead to worse things.

Ban MUSLIMS! I can see it working:

- Muslim homicidal maniac decides to kill some people
- notices Islam is banned
- 'Damn! I guess I have to commit suicide without taking anyone with me now :('

Crisis averted!

Mother and three daughters, aged between 8-14, are STABBED in French holiday resort because they were 'scantily dressed'

and more! Sigh it goes on and on, no idea why the other thread was locked?

I do genuinely wonder about people like you. Having seen that 4 people have been attacked by a refugee with an axe, your first thought the next morning is that we should get more of them over here.

:D

So out of the 750,000 refugees in Germany, one causes trouble so we should just not help anyone?

Nice person you are.

No wonder the world is in such a **** state.:)

WTf, scorza being serous or is he trolling again?

Both Scorza and Roah seem to have lost the plot recently. I'm half expecting one to be in the news soon after trying to do something to someone they see as lefty liberal (anyone left of the BNP).

I would think the Guardian as per their usual agenda will try and give this as little coverage as possible, refer to him by his age as an indentifier rather than his immigration status or religious behaviour, hide the coverage in small text below other newsworthy events (eg anti rightwing rhetoric), not use pictures if at all possible on the main home page etc.

OMG, you're right!

Germany's first attack by radicalised asylum seeker alarms officials

German officials are weighing up how to react to what is being treated as the first attack with a jihadist motive by an asylum seeker on German soil, who prosecutors suggested may have decided to carry out the attack just days earlier.

A 17-year-old Afghan armed with an axe and a knife attacked passengers on a regional train in northern Bavaria on Monday evening, seriously injuring four Chinese tourists before being shot dead by police.

That story linked to in the headlines section in the first section on the front page. Although you are right on one thing, it doesn't have a picture on the front page.:p But then it did happen yesterday.

RIP to those involved.

He may have been singing I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK
I sleep all night and I work all day, from Monty Python.

Why would wish that terrorist scum to RIP? If there is such a thing as an afterlife, then I sincerely hope that he's suffering eternal torment.

There is a fantastic graphic that I have posted before and can no longer find showing the students of I believe Cairo university.

In the 60's / 70's all the women are in skirts and blouses and not a headscarf in sight. Then in the 80's you see a couple of scarfs and conservative clothing the 90's more and then the 00's every woman has a scarf and is covered from ankle to wrist.

There was absolutely a change that happened where these countries were engaging with western secularism and then in the 90's rejected it for an older identity.

Part of me wonders if it's because the most zealous are "fighting" back. They saw their culture coming marginalised and are now trying violently to grab it back. Unfortunately they do seem to be winning the propaganda war at the moment, turning events like the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, alongside any other perceived western ingress into a call to arms for other conservatives.

It's one of the reasons Trumps rhetoric is so dangerous. It just plays right into the hands of those that want a full scale war between Islam and the west and only gives more ammunition to their cause. The increase in Islamophobia in general is not helping either. Marginalise a huge section of society and it's not surprising if more and more decide to join the call.

It's not Islam that is the problem, it's those using it as a weapon against others that is.

I think the argument of its only one out of how many I highly disrespectful to the victims. Its the same as saying men over here already commit sexual assault (but the part that is clearly missing from the rest of that sentence is: So lets invite more).

One incident is one too many.

It was Kabul university in Afghanistan iirc.
