cheers brizzle - I kinda knew them ones to avoid - altho I head accuracy can be useful on some weapons?

How about balanced is that useful for sniper?

Also heard that using skill to get increased damage may be useful for sniper?

Just thinking of PVE for each of the weapons :)

I know brutal deadly fierce are highly recommended... just wondering on discussion on pro and cons for each weapon type for PVE :)

Accurate can be very useful in weapons like M1A, where landing consistent headshot is more important than anything.

W/ accurate you could be landing 1.5HS/s, and w/o accurate you could be landing 1HS/s, that is a massive difference.

Many people ignore the accurate stat and only look at the damage talents, however it is very imp to know that accuracy also determines your maximum reticule bloom. In weapons like g36c, i often find added accuracy to minimize the reticule bloom very helpful since I can control the recoil already.

However, in the m1a if you have capable you woulf not need accuracte, but if you dun have either you should stack on it, and you will notice the difference.

Also talents like responsive is very useful in weapons where the optimal range is around 10m, like SMG, AR and shotty. Fierce is a good talent but the dps increase is entitely dependent on your existing crit damage. A lot of people look at crit chance and crit damage separately, but the realistic output is the product of them. I really think people should be looking at them as a product now.

For M1A, I would look for brutal, deadly capable. I'm using one and I'm melting bosses in mid range.

For shotty, I would looking for brutal deadly resppnsive

For AR, brutal deadly resppnsive

For SMG, brutal deadly responsive (or self preserved if you have a Mp7 204)

For LMG, brutal deadly fierce

Talents like Ferocious is good, but if you have resppnsive then its far better tham ferocious. Stay away from Prepared on MR, simply because at the optimal range (where ypu can use a MR to stack HS), its below 40m.

Cheers defi really good post and helps a lot :)
(cant watch vid yet frods)

Seems like its basically brutal deadly +1 other depending on weapon....

Why is it that every pvp build I see on youtube, the player has almost exactly 25k elec? What benefit does it give?

A strong pulse and ability to heal yourself quite quickly with overheal, and consistently to.

I run 30k for pvp so I can pulse which caps my crit chance, and I can also pulse quite quickly.

Cheers. So, what should crit chance be prior to activating pulse in order to hit the 60% cap? I'm at 35.5%, but with only 12k elec.

Tek it depends on your skill; but if you have max CHC% on your pulse (40%)

You will need 20% on character to hit the max of 60%

Hope this helps :)

I see. So, would I be correct in saying that in order to have max pulse at 40%, you would need at least 25k elec skill? I'm sick of grinding loot, so plan to complete a pvp build for a laugh. It's the only aspect of the game I'm yet to explore fully:D

Also, are assault rifles viable for pvp? I have a couple of nice mp7's, but find that they burn through the clip to quickly to be viable, although it seems that many people recommend them.

Cheers:)

im not sure what skill level you need for max pulse ... just check your stats

I kind of rely on the group - tacktician to supply the pulse so I aim for around 20% CHC

My skill is 27k not sure what that equates to

You can check it on your skill page.

Tbh you dun necessarily have to think that crit chance beyond the hard cap after pulse is going to be wasted, because in real world scenario some players would be running conceal, and it'll entirely dependent on your passive crit output. Thats why people also run LMG now, since the damage buff cannot be countered

I loved this on release, but the constant hackers and exploiters kinda ruined it for my group of mates, is it worth returning to now?

Definitely worth trying again, the hacker problem is pretty much sorted now since 1.2, haven't seen any in many weeks.

If they are caught once now it's a permanent ban.

So I was playing around last night with DPS and toughness......What does DPS really measure?
So I had DPS at 195k and went to the test range with (m1a and G36), used smart cover to test etc
With DPS @ 195k and my skill (think it was around 20k I could hit around 350k (with other people's talents I've seen it hit 1mil).
Now I changed my DPS to over 320k (my toughness was 90k lol) and in the range with similar skill, I was hitting 450k (same m1a)....... with the G36 it was not even that much more noticeable, maybe 10k more per hit? Which is nothing when dealing with level 35 enemies etc

So surely it is still based off of the weapon itself and talents? Or so I thought?

PLayed with a clan (Hi) last night, we did FL Heroic and we completed it 3 times within 45 mins, they were just dropping enemies left right and center YET still seriously tough. I couldn't believe it....however their GS was 251 where mine is now 255......yet I could tell I was the weak kitten of the group (still held my own, just a couple of their guns were crazy)

Still so confused with this game.

I will check mine when I log in.

I use SMG's with AB, reckless and savage gloves for PVP. MP7 as primary, and I am still playing with the secondary talents
