SAPPHIRE RX 480 NITRO NOW AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT OVERCLOCKERS UK (WORLD FIRST) !!!

I think there is something wrong with my voltages

On another note, got back from Thailand today to see my OcUK package awaiting me, I ripped it open and slapped my new 480 in there only to be greeted with a crippling flickering problem that none of the 4 sets of drivers I tried could resolve.

I think my 480 is DOA >:(

I had 900K+ on my voltages! But at 100% GPU load. Not happened since I don't wake up from sleep. Just shut it down all the time.

I suggested staying away from Sleep to someone else who was having that problem but I was shot down for some reason. Was only trying to help!

So is the memory different on the 4GB Nitro+ 480? Sure i saw someone say its a different manufacturer.

Hynix on the 4 GB, and I believe Samsung on the 8 GB. From what I've read the Samsung seems to be a lot happier running at higher speeds. Not sure what actual difference the faster speeds have on performance though.

Hynix is decent, i can get 1650 (from stock 1250) on my 7950 which has Hynix.. would prefer Samsung though but im not too fussed about overclocking it much when it arrives tomorrow.

Like i said earlier i'll sell the 4GB 480 when Vega comes.

Cheers.

Got one of these cards coming today. Uninstalled the amd drivers and software, removed old gpu and now on integrated graphics until it arrives. Downloaded the two most recent driver releases, which drivers are the best at the moment?

You get 10% extra fps in GTA 5 just by increasing memory speed from 2000 to 2200

Well...this is the image I get when I try to enter the BIOS, been happening before this GFX.

Not sure whats going on there, my issue was a CPU Fan Monitor error that kept saying press F1 for setup, so i set that option to ignore and it booted straight into Windows, have to set it like that in my OC profiles else it comes back.

Uninstalled GTA V last month and dont play it anymore, and my 480 is the 4GB version.. of course i'll be seeing how it overclocks though :)

One thing i'm really looking forward to is being able to set custom fan curves... this whole business of target speeds and temperatures isn't working out for me :/ I'm finding it ramping up way too quickly. I'd rather have a more gradual curve up to 80 and then getting exponentially faster to 90.
