LOL
Least with video footage what you seeing is what you getting!!
And they even in this video show the pros and cons!! It wasn't all HAIL TO THE SLI GODS! This line of work needs hardware, without pay you dont get hardware!! Sponsored deals is how all these channels get the content out! Again so long they remain within what got them there what is the problem? Would you turn down a Titan XP from nvidia if your Little channel was massive??? I very doubt you would!!! LOL

Something DF has always done fair is show what is right and what is wrong!! And they do this miles better than anyone else! Leagues above the them amature review channels ;)

So if you watch a video from DF benchmarking Gears of War 480 vs 1060 Footage showing what is what How do you take that with a pinch of salt? But instead you the first around here to post rubbish Graph results LEL Give it a rest!

What the Dickens? Do you work for DF or something? Man, I state why i don't like reviewers who get paid for it or at least trust them 100% and get told to give it a rest. You have issues man and need to chill out a bit. By all means use them but my POV is mine and mine alone and I don't try to enforce it on anyone, so if you don't like what I say, ignore it or even put me on ignore if it bothers you that much. Man, it is hardware and not a way of life!

LOOOL
I disagree how you can take these videos with a pinch of salt!! When what you see is what you get! But you the first to bang on about a site that post a Gragh.
The fact of the matter is what they get paid or given Does NOT matter!! Its the content thats on show that does.. So long they fair in what the post and so far they have been whats the problem ??

And no I dont work for them LOL my defence is purly disagreeing with your view! Am allowed to do that aren't I??
We all entilted to are own opinion and I do agree there. Buts its also open to be disagreed.

You don't get it do you? I have always had massive respect for DF, purely because of how they did their benching but when someone gets paid for it, it takes the shine off them in my opinion, hence why I will now take them with a pinch of salt. By all means though, you can base your purchasing decision on their results or use them to show as a side by side comparison but I am always skeptical of people who are paid. I refer to my answer about jobs as reference.

You see it your way and I will see it mine.

Have to agree here i given up on these kind of reviews many moons ago as it seems quite obvious to me that anyone receiving sample units etc from manufacturer is not going to bite the hand that feeds them. Rather go with real world user feedback these days as more honest :)

But they not reviewing the product lol they are showcasing SLI in the video. Its a review of SLI and the say the pros and cons.

Reviewing is very different and when talking about reviewing a product that has been sent to them I do agree they will be some channels that won't list the bad things all the time. So I agree there.

Yup, SLi isn't the best at the moment but better than Crossfire :D

Just hope they both get sorted out for DX12 tbh, RotTR DX12 patch showed what was possible (with the SLi numbers I remember at least!)

They both as bad each other!
Yeah Deus EX shows excellent DX12 gains also. I firmly believe once DX12 has settled down and more engines and devs have worked with it. I can see MGPU doing very well under DX12

You are still missing the point.

Imagine Asus sending you a GTX 1080 super duper clocker special and asking you to pit it against a Fury X. Would you test it in a game that doesn't work too well with NVidia or would you only show it in a good light?

This is my point and there is many things you can do to hamper the opposition or make the card you have shine more than it possibly should be without altering IQ etc. Do they want to carry on receiving hardware or other things?

If I wanted them to show my product, I would be ****ed off if they made it look rubbish anyways and would think twice before sending them anything else.

On another note, I am up your way New Years Eve in the Kopp watching Liverpool V Man City and me and the Mrs are going on the beer after if you fancy a pint at all?

And I agree with the Hardware reviewing side of things channels can and do make something look better than it is so the remain getting hardware.
But the SLI video above isn't about the hardware - Its not a product review! They only reviewing SLI they could have used any 1080 or 1070s for it.
The aim of the video was only showcasing what SLI is like and even give the issues of what can happen with SLI when its not working.

They didn't once review the GPUs that was given to them.

Pint I dont drink mate, stopped long time ago thanks for offer though.

All good but I will be watching them still, as they are pretty decent and hopefully they stick by what I liked in the first place.

I drink too much btw :D

Yeah Greg, have to say. I don't think your view here is relevant to this video as you have only watched the first few mins. And it basically stated to go for 1070 SLI for 4k gaming out the options if you want to aim for 60fps or more at reasonable costs.

It also showed the issues of frame pacing, spoke about the effects and the issues they have with SLI and that of DX12 games that don't support SLI yet.

The whole thing didn't mention the actual cards specifically being tested and just gave a quick overview of the fact that you can get out of the box performance from 3rd parties compared to the foundation series cards from Nvidia.

They pointed the games that didn't look well either.

The guy in the Video is clueless about SLI.

I also agree with Gregster that the video is a huge advert.

I think that Pascal Titan SLI would be even worse under the same conditions as 1080 SLI is performing badly in that video. Answers on a postcard as to why that could be.:D

Asus Strix are also some of the worst cards for SLI and people who try it could run into problems with case airflow and heat build up if they are not careful.

If DF really want to explore SLI properly use reference cards with waterblocks if possible.

In short summary, Native DX12 games are better on Nvidia like Gears of War 4, Gears of War Ultimate, Forza Apex, Forza Horizon 3. Games ,which has DX12 and DX11 option is better on AMD with DX12, however it is not faster then Nvidia on DX11 with its counter parts.

No not at all. Forza Horizon 3 has a RX470 faster than a gtx1060 and needs patching as performance is all over the place on other Gpu's. From a google Apex has a 390 faster than a gtx970. GOW Ultimate edition in no way is a native dx12 game and was patched to where Amd perform better link below.

No GTX 970 is on par with RX 470 and GTX 1060 is on another league in this game.

Gears of Wars 3 has the 480 and 1060 Match for match TBH

Forza 3 just got a performance update two days ago benchmarks will need re-doing.

Gears is a funny one, because its built very close with Nvidia and using the hardware to its max on DX12 and yet its still neck and neck with the AMD GPU. Plus we then have what Nvidia calls Async Compute VS what AMD calls Async Compute. Gears is meant to not even be using the same Async compute has say Doom for example.
