I like the indicators on new Audis. Finally, they've done something to get owners to use them so people can see how swish they light up. Some models have them on the front too.
I think they are extremely tacky tbh.
It's a strange thing to do.

Could it not just be he wants to hide his plate whilst still letting us know what year it is? I guess he could hide it all and just say its a MY2016 or whatever.
It is a motors forums after all and it may help with some questions about engine revision or other things that only came in in certain years.
For example I hide my whole plate as it makes me feel happy inside and I always have however if I left the 11 on show you would not have to ask me if my D5 is a 185 or 205 bhp output as you would be able to tell(and who doesn't want to know that!)
