Don't want to watch this until BBC Iplayer do it in 4K next year, just hope it's going to be easy for the Beeb to get it working for current 4K telly's

The two cubs filmed in the den were Walker and Swimmer. Walker is one of the polar bears at the Highland Wildlife Park in Aviemore and he's certainly not little anymore, he's well over half a tonne of bear now.

Spectacular looking although shame not with DD sound as having a bit more punch with the sountrack would have been amazing. Will play with my amp for the next one!

It wasn't DD on Sky or via iPlayer on Demand either. A shame Sky couldn't have come to an agreement with the BBC for a UHD version

Watched this last night, recorded it once I had my sky q installed and honestly it looked superb even though my tv at the moment is just 1080p. I can only imagine how much nicer it will be when I get my 4K tv next week.

Brilliant episode though, can't wait till the next episode.

Was massively underwhelmed with that episode after the previous series and the first episode of this series. Felt more like a bog standard run of the mill wildlife documentary tonight.

I respectfully disagree, I thought it had a great mix of beautiful visuals, a bit of humour (the bobcat faceplanting was great!), and never before seen footage of snow leopards interacting.

This series was always going to have a tough time competing with the original as that was truly groundbreaking, nevertheless I'm very much enjoying it.

The goats / ibexes (sp?) were fascinating. It was still very interesting although on the whole not as bombastic as the first episode of the season.

Another thing that annoys me about this series, and a lot of BBC documentaries over the last few years, is the 10 minute segment dedicated to how a section of the program was filmed. Feels like they're cutting the episode short and including filler that should be shown on BBC3 or included on the Blu-ray :mad:

I'm certainly enjoying it but no more than I do any other BBC wildlife documentary, which are generally superb. Suppose the original was so groundbreaking, as you say, it brought the quality of the other documentaries up to a level we now consider the norm.

Edit: Think the snakes spoilt us last week.

I enjoyed that episode a lot. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first, the first was just incredible. But none the less an hour of my life very well spent.

Whats next week?
