Picked up something new again.

Or is it because they are fun to drive?

If it's the latter, why is more power and 4wd desireable?
Strange as it may sound I normally find less power can be more fun on the road...

Like on my 1000cc R1 motorbike I used to have it really to fast for having fun (You just have look at the throttle and you're doing 3 digit speeds)

No point if it looks roughly the same as just about every other BMW..

Well it doesn't really - obviously there are common design elements and switchgear, they are hardly going to craft a different window switch for every car they sell, but it's obviously different to anything else on the market and despite being effectively a 5 Series Coupe it looks demonstrably different inside compared to a 5 Series, a bigger difference than 3 Series to 4 Series for example.

That's because they're both M6s. This is an M5:

The one I posted is pre-LCI, the LCI gains the newer steering wheel, silver bars either side of the iDrive screen, and NBT iDrive:

That's an M6.

That looks like it maybe an older model

No, it's an M5.

As you can see, the M5 and the M6 do not share the same interior. Parts are the same - ie the climate panel, steering wheel, instrument cluster and some switchgear, but the actual design of the dash etc is not the same.

This seems like a fairly pointless discussion if your experience of both interiors goes no further than 'on google' :p

You are wrong - I'd be really happy if you were right as I'd love my car to have the same interior as a 6 Series - but it doesn't.

The 6 series interior is a thing of beauty, but you really have to sit in them to understand why.. The amount of leather is crazy and really makes it feel a class above..

But going by those pictures it looks like you have a wider glove box then the m6...;) (Unless it because of the angle the picture taken)

Yes, and a different nav screen (Fully integrated, actually better IMHO) and a different centre console and a different dash and different seats and different doors and a different A pillar and... heck it's different except for the climate panel, centre vents, instrument cluster and the steering wheel!

I sat in an older 2007 model I thought about buying before I bought my focus ST

This one http://www.jacksonsci.com/adv_search/#imagetab515203 Price has dropped was £23.995 or £24.995 when I looked at it about 3 months ago
