What film did you watch last night?

The Lesson.

******* weird. Story was fragmented. The film felt fragmented but I think this is what it was going for. A wtf moment was when I watched it and saw the swimming pool down the road with my workplace over the fence. I think I liked it but I'm really not sure.

Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar Children - was surprisingly good, did not expect much going into this and ended up with a big smile when it finished. Very good acting all round.

8/10.

Yeah was a good film, I enjoyed it too. A definite visual treat watched on an OLED as well, the film was beautifully shot, and the CGI, for the most part, believable.

Se7en - 9/10

No matter how many times I watch this, I'm always hooked from the start and my heart is always racing at the build up to the end. Incredible film.

"So I took a souvenir... her pretty head" God, Spacey is just a master.

Damn good writing mate.

Spacey has been in bad films :p

Rogue One 9/10, really awesome film!

Sully 7/10, really enjoyed this, although its like Titanic in that you know the story, but it was well played and tense. Well worth a watch.

Miss Peregrine's etc.. 7/10
Had fun watching this.
Eva Green was really good in the role, and managed to do it without any boobs out action.

Rogue One 7.5/10
Pretty good, but not the amazing wonder that many find it to be.
I think it's because it's been so long since we had a decent Star Wars film tbh.

The Hateful 8
9/10
The third time I've watched it, and I ****ing love this film.

War Dogs
7.5/10
Surprisingly good, with a great soundtrack.

Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
3.5/10 because I'm generous
Oh dear.... Not quite as terrible as I expected, but terrible nonetheless.

Victoria
10/10 for the concept delivery. 7/10 for the film itself.
Very impressive for the whole done in one take thing.
I think I only mark it down slightly for the utter stupidity of the characters after they do what they do. Other than that, it was mostly pretty damn convincing.

Moon- Seen it before, but not for quite a while. It really is very good. 9/10

The person I was watching it said, when I described what it was about, "oh so it is just like The Martian", and I kind of agreed it is a bit similar, but after rewatching this, I think it is a far superior film.

Suicide Squad 4/10

It was better viewing in the pictures, although not much more. The Joker is utter crud.

Apparently well over half the Joker's scenes got cut. Probably why the portrayal came across so weirdly.

I agree, was a great film. It had a good touch of realism to it because you can totally imagine the pilots would be the scapegoats before they blame other factors. Insurance etc would do anything to avoid having to pay. A lot of pressure on those pilots.

Apparently it didn't go down like that in reality at all, the film captures the accident investigation team in a harsh, negative light.

What actually happened was far less brutal, they were simply asking the questions that needed to be asked to ensure flight safety was increased going forward. It was not a finger pointing scenario as the film portrays.

But of course, it's a movie, and you need a villain of sorts.

Anyway, I thought the film was a strong 8/10.

Watched 2 movies on Sunday.

We need to talk about Kevin 7/10 - Really enjoyed this. From what I was told I was expecting it to be a bit scary/tense but it was more the flipping between the past and present and watching Kevin develop which I thought was very well done. Pretty good film overall with a great twist. Worth a watch. Might put you off having kids though :p

Star Trek Beyond 8/10 - Have really enjoyed this Star Trek trilogy (also I'm not a trekky otherwise) and this finished the trilogy well. Good balance of action and comedy. I found it a lot of fun and very stunning as well. The movie went very quickly! a good watch.
