The BBC..... Really

How can they interview imaginary people

 Let's not turn this into a Brexit debate. An impartial news source should report the positive and negative consequences on something like this - they focussed too much on how Remain was the only logical decision.

You may believe that it was the only logical decision, but plenty (the majority) didn't.

It is definitely not impartial. Look at the brexit coverage, almost no positive spin on this huge opportunity the country has to trade with the world.

It's news department needs some attention too, the interviews with Farrage for example are hardly unbiased, ditto for the coverage and reporting on Islamic extremism.

I watched a lot of the Brexit coverage and they didn't glorify either side, they did impartial fact checking on both sides and found lies on both. There were less lies on the remain side but that's because that side was more honest anyway...

Haven't you got better things to do than worry about the political stance of the BBC? Like get wasted on your own every night and spend a small fortune on lottery tickets via direct debit?

I don't think either of them statements fairly represent the threads you are referencing ;)

The BBC seems to be fairly central, but on some topics leans left and others leans right.

Unfortunately, these days I'm not sure that something truly impartial would have any staying power. In an age of safe-spaces, political correctness and Facebook politics some people won't entertain anything that doesn't agree with them entirely.

Generally the BBC is fairly balanced in terms of its political commentary.

I have noticed a poorer journalistic standard in its articles and news reports (misleading headlines, tabloid-like exaggeration, spelling errors)

I have also noticed that the articles seem to a prevailing theme for long periods of time (a lot recently about Female Equality for example)

The only real bias i have seen from the BBC is from there Sports section where certain individuals show so much bias that they twist whole articles to follow the same theme

I take any news outlet with a pinch of salt thesedays.

Each have there own agenda and its not to imform, take Robert Peston (BBC) a reporter who single handed added another 6 months to recession.

Political coverage is only Blue/Red with a jingle at UKkip (who they are so scared of its untrue) Greens etc get little coverage if any.

Sport in premier league madness and then only the usual famous 5 or 6.

So for me the BBC should stick to Dr Who and 6 music.

Have a listen to Call Kaye on BBC Scotland radio, always keen to highlight those who are anti-SNP but quick to close down anyone who may express an interest in Scottish independence. Not balanced here at all.

Also very suspicious about Question Time whenever it decides to host in Scotland. A recent show from Dundee had an audience with distinctly English accents and a high percentage of said audience where very hostile towards the SNP member of the panel. Hardly a 45-55 split.

They are totally pro-EU as well. Any mentioning of "brexit" is in a negative way, even though there are a of positives to not being restrained by the EU.

"Positive spin" would render the coverage impartial, surely?

Lol... As the saying goes, you only hear what you want to hear!

FYI, a major figure leaves his post in the EU, sends out a warning.... BBC cover it.... Then idiots shout, "Bloody lefy eye EU loving BBC bias".. I mean come on!

As a supposed looney leftie nut job, I have been rather annoyed at the amount of air time the BBC give Farage! But still think they're quite neutral.

Also.... for me the best source of info and public feeling is LBC radio! Absolutely fantastic radio station.

Katie Hopkins to me is proper vermin, I mean to the point I wouldn't **** on her if she was on fire.... But I still listen to LBC when she's on.

Katie Hopkins is the textbook definition of attention whore, I don't think she believes half the crap she says just does it to get into the spotlight prolonging her crappy 'celebrity' career. If everyone ignored her i'm sure she would shrivel away and be forgotten rather quickly.

True.... Whats made me laugh is how universally everyone hated her. Then when brexit and immigration reared its ugly head people started to say, "Well I'm not a massive fan, but she's bang on the money here". Amazing.
