Do you need new wheels? They probably won't make you faster but that isn't a bad price for them. Might be worth checking if the warranty is transferable?

Do you ride in the wet because carbon clinchers have slightly worse braking in the rain and it's worth considering that if you take them to the mountains.

If you just want them for the bling and have the money, go for it.:D

I think they are pretty similar to Campag Bora 35s and have no complaints with them so far.

Is that the club ride or chain gang?!

22mph is very fast for a 'fast group', unless it's pan flat where you are.

Our 'fast' group is labelled as a 20mph ride, unless it's a hilly ride, when we'd struggle to keep to 18 most times.

I'm enjoying it, it's like a breath of fresh air after fighting with the Garmin. Not sure how much of that is the change/the lack of issues. It's slight 'quirks' are things which will get polished out through firmware/software as they add more features anyway. My current bugbear is when ending a ride, you have to press 'pause' (left), then 'stop' (middle), then 'yes' to confirm (right). Then hold power button, then press 'yes' (left) to power off. 5 button presses to end and power down. It's 2 on the 810! :rolleyes:

Nor me! Just don't tend to cycle out that way as it's a predominately busy/fast A road to get to Abergavenny. I need to get into more 50/60 mile club rides! To be honest Gospel Pass is more interesting and closer. Highest climb in Wales and England (below the lakes & Yorkshire)! ;)

You are not missing out that much on the Tumble. It's a bit of a slog and the first part is enclosed so you don't get the benefit of beautiful scenery to take your mind off the pain!

I really want to get out tomorrow for my first ride of 2017 :eek: but the temperatures are putting me off. It doesn't look like there is going to be any precipitation, but temperatures don't seem to go above 1 until midday and I really do not want to risk hitting any ice!

May risk it..:eek:

Doesn't bother me in the slightest :confused::) quite like it that way to be honest rather than accidentally ending a ride or powering off the unit.

I do really like the companion app. It's a shame it's such a battery drain on very long rides 6+hrs but for anything in the 3-5hr range it's manageable. You can periodically open & close it to save a ride as you go rather than in its entirety. Equally it means you don't have to worry about trying to recover a ride if the unit does die, corrupt or get damaged.

The functionality within the app to view lap, temp, power, HR zone data etc is really good. Particularly if you're too keen to wait to get home and fancy giving things a review whilst still out and about. :cool:

Can confirm, also risking it. Staying close to home on a 10-12 mile loop (in case of circulatory emergencies :p or mechanicals) for some Tempo/SweetSpot work on roads that should get some sun and not be too sheltered. Overly anxious about ice or having a fall though :/ Summer tyres should really be taken off...

I've been out several times in -1c/-2c over the last 6 weeks or so. Frosty country lanes is a bit hairy but generally the main roads are ok.

I'm on slicks still, quite low pressures though - 80psi.

I'll drop the pressures down. Got some old Schwalbe One's on at the moment from when the deep sections came off (with far too many miles on them, need binning really, well worn and did get a flat on the rear on the last ride :o ).

Could pick up some GP4000's or use the Vitorria Corsa G's which replaced the One's.

Yeah I'd heard it's a bit of a slog but also heard the road surface is one of the better ones around? To be honest it's the long slogs I really want to test myself more on anyway, have plenty of the short & sharp around here! :cool:

Turbo for me tomorrow morning. Too much chance of ice before 10.30am to contemplate the 9am club rides and I've only got until 12 to get some mileage in my legs. Unsure if I can ride sunday so I'm figuring on a 9am Zwift session tomorrow and try to log 35-40 miles to get somewhere near my weekly 80 mile target. :cool:

Not really a concern when you're that cold. More the wind blocking I wear mine for and open it up on climbs/efforts or just partially for some circulation. I don't perspire more or need any more fluid than when in double digit degrees :) When I'm overheating I sweat an insane amount :eek:
