It looks well made in person, it also stands out even though it usually has darker colours. But that's why out of my reach at the moment, I'll get Rukka gear when I hit middle age. You know... middle age crisis and all that. :p :D

Edit

It must be great for you lot who are nearly 40, you can use that middle age crisis card. If your missus questions your purchase... :D :p

rukka gear is awesome, goretex pro-shell is simply the best there is, but that price!!!!

if you were doing inter-continental miles then maybe it'd be worth it, but you'd need to be doing 20k a year, all year round to justify it.

Sorry - what I actually mean is Rukka gear is rubbish! :o:p

It is even better when you're over 40. Hobbies that may once have seemed ludicrous and expensive are now the norm, and your relationship is that well established that nothing is questioned anyway :) If you have cashed in the middle age crisis card then no need to worry - everyone is living longer so you'll get another one in a few years anyway

Sounds like getting old isn't that bad, but I'll be more cautious and not as keen when younger. I would rather have it the other way round, have the money when young and once old just work to pay it off. :p

You said Rukka gear is great, not that long ago!

I've got past my first midlife crisis, second one will hopefully kick in around 55 when I decided to revisit my yoof and buy an old 80s stroker

That's the current fashion - buy it all and credit when you're younger, and trust there'll be a way out of it when you're older :)

See, this is true most young people do that. I know quite a few.

I have £200 on a credit card and that is it, I try to stay in the black no matter what with savings money to put aside where I can. :) To me, financing everything when your not sure of what tomorrow will bring will put you in a very, very bad situation. PLus my credit score just hit 975, so happy with that! :D

Wish I had that excuse. I'm just extremely bored, don't have anything else I spend my money and like bike stuff :p

If I could be guaranteed a Rukka jacket/trousers would last me for the rest of my biking lifetime, I'd genuinely consider it, but £1100 on the jacket and almost £700 on pants both of which will get battered in the weather and potentially need replacing after 5 years is a little ott.
