Just used autoglym polish on the bike, looks sexy as hell! Nice and shiny

MOTed it on Saturday. Put it away under cover. Ordered Silkolene Super 4 & K&N oil filter which i'll do next weekend.

Finally finished my garage. Tad chuffed

I'm sorry. Throughout life my goal has been to have a double garage, and I finally achieved it and grand old age of 29. Now to fill it a little more
Haha its one of mine also, reached the house ownership before 30, but seeing as I am only a month away from 30... I wont be owning a double garage anytime soon, will be the only requirement when I move though! I have the space to convert my garage to a double, just don't think I will ever see the return on it when coming to sell though..
How you finding this? I need to buy a lock & chain but I find that spending anything less than £150 or so just ends up with rubbish which can be defeated in seconds.
Unfortunately that's the way it is- motorcyclists are exploited as niche specialist consumers, so there's lots of crap security products out there at premium prices.
A chain needs to be case hardened in order to resist cropping and cutting, but unfortunately most of the big name manufacturers use cheap Chinese through-hardened chains. They look beefy and serious but take seconds to cut or shatter as they're so brittle. My S1000RR went walkies in Kentish Town, there were shards of my £100 Oxford Monster all over the place. Lesson learned- the only really secure chain I've found is an Almax with a Squire Stronghold lock.
In a way I selfishly hope riders continue to use insecure chains, so the thieves bypass my bike and go for those instead!
(I don't work for or have an association with Almax. They just happen to be the only decent chains I've found.)
I've done some fairly extensive research on bike security lately and Almax always pops up. I think I've read one negative comment on them. I've had a few bikes stolen as a yoof and know that feeling so will be spending a decent chunk on security. Plus a chain is a keeper, could last you the rest of your life if taken care of.
Yup, I carry 20 Kg of Almax and half a kilo of Squire around in my topbox. Sad that I have to, but there it is.
I have an oxford disk lock that goes everywhere as my steering lock has never worked. In a way you have to accept that if the wrong people want your bike there is nothing you can do about it. However making your bike harder than others to take seems to be the best approach.
Saw a London Vlogger list the security he uses and interestingly he didnt go for expense he went for volume of products. All items cost between £30-£60 but there were 5 or 6 of them. They are used to protect a 701 husky. The guys name is 'Dead Silence' if you are interested

Picked up some brand new HeliBars for a bargain price, going to see how they feel as this year my bike will mainly be commuting and doing some long trips so looking on the side of comfort compared to my Renthal bars...
Fitted the Renthal dual compound 32mm grips too.
