What is connected drive? Do you have to pay ?

You should be able to add the car to a connected drive account, it requires professional navigation not 6NR.

BMW geeks, any opinion on this 320d?

Looking for a car to replace my Focus to do 150 miles a day. Currently looking at Mondeo's, Superb's, E9X 320d's, Accords etc. This has popped up on the DC5 forum and I quite like the look of it.

Yeah those engines are certainly one to avoid, very significant chain issues. I wouldn't want one out of warranty and i am generally not someone who would usually warrant a car.

Just had a quick google, lots of threads on it over on Pistonheads. Looks like I won't bother. I don't really want to spend more than £8k and which unfortunately doesn't get me into a well spec'd 325/330d. Thanks.

You need a 6NR activation code I thought? The Ex series with CIC was different IIRC.

You don't need anything to do with 6NR to use Connected Drive and its associated smartphone app.

I can get it updated to 6NR which needs a FSC code. But trying to work out if its worth the effort and money.
