And how many dead in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan where the actual war is going on these last few years and the next few as well 1000, 100000, 100000?....I don't see jets dropping bombs overhead, *looks out of the window*, nope all quiet out there, no destroyed towns, villages, millions of civilians fleeing their homes.

We are in a war, yes, we suffered an attack by a lone attacker yes, I think saying the war is not actually being fought on our soil is quite accurate since our armies are in other countries

I was thinking this today. It is an awful and horrid thing to happen but in the grand scheme of the things - heck even compared to 7/7 bombing - this was poorly organised by seemingly only one person, with 'only' four victims killed. I really don't see the hype with it? Currently abroad and people are like 'omg London are your family ok' - errr yes, thank you very much for your good willed concern though.

The last thing I want is the thing you describe.

Because it benefits so many people.

The government benefit by increasing the "scare factor", allowing them to pass more draconian laws, the police and security services will get more money, the media get more page hits, anti immigration/anti muslim and racist groups get to push their narrative, and some people just like to pretend they really "care"...

Unfortunately all that does is play into the hands of the people/person that did it in the first place, but nobody cares because they all get something out of it.
