PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

It's widespread though. Well known streamers with 1080Ti/Titan + i7 still have to play with all settings on low just to scrape 60+ FPS.

Something about AA turned on puts the load back onto gfx I heard. 50,000 were watching a live stream of this game, people like it apparently. If they are updating everyday, thats early access done right?

Looking forward to when we get some kind of kill cam or replay option, which is apparently a long term goal.

Demo file of games played is one thing I heard but dont some graphics cards have a replay option

I was going to buy H1Z1 for quite a while before i got this, but all the people i know who played it did nothing but complain about the game and its development.
This on the other had is much more positive, a lot of people on my steam friends list refused to buy into this because of the price, something i has said before i think is reasonable. everyone has their own "value" on games but frankly ive had more play out of this in what a week? than i have many games ive dropped 15-20 on in a steam sale and some other games ive paid full price for.

How it will end up who knows but i'm happy i have had my moneys worth already never mind going forward.

this has small group low budget and is pretty buggy.will the games player base stick around for its development ? not sure. for me its a 50/50 chance and all the time H1 will get slicker and slicker as its in front and got the playerbase.

Well we will see if players stick around for Battlegrounds, remember this week was the week that it was going to "drop like a stone"... so we should be seeing that happen any day now.............

The game is on my radar for sure, but paying £27 for an early access game that I can't see having much in the way of longevity, it's a bit steep, considering I already own Arma3

I would definitely say that for anyone finding £27 is too much of a hit in the pocket, the best thing to do would be to wait til its fully released and then pay whatever the full release price is. IMO its a great game and one that everyone , who likes this sort of thing, should play at some point this year. The following and feedback its already getting from gamers and the gaming social media community is great.

For me, with over 60 hours now played in beta and early access, the £27 has been a tiny drop in the ocean (50p per hour of fun? I cant match that anywhere else currently) , but for those for whom the price is a brickwall, then I'd say wait but keep an eye open for full release, dont miss out on the fun at some point down the road.

H1 is two games. the main player base play king of the kill.go try it.you will like it.its £15 quid.the main people moaned about the single player game which never really took off but king of the kill is one of the most popular played games online now on steam.

Another night and still not getting over 3rd. starting to get annoying now.
My friends I was on voice with while they were playing Ghost Recon were laughing at my rage levels.

I tagged someone last night with a TFU tag in a moment of sheer luck, was miles from the first circle and was resigned to my death when i spotted a car in a garage, headed over and was just getting in when the poor guy rounded the corner behind me and shot taking half my health i spun and hip fire straight into his face with an AK i had forgot to switch to auto from single shot, I actually felt guilty for steal his car and killing him with 100% luck for maybe 5 seconds.

Was more than likely me pal, as I was the only one with TFU tag haha.... Where was this again, had some BS deaths last night haha! QA couple of times I was like WT-F, how am I always getting dropped from near and far with one shot lol.

Were there 2 of us? If so then it was 99% it was me.

As I said in a previous post, the single fire default is spoiling the game a bit for me now tbh.

goon now hes getting old is slightly confused .i hoped it would be great i gave it a chance beucause the dayz mod was so good yet it turned out ~~~~.go read posts if you would like to waste your time.basically i hated it.i confronted devs about they did nothing. i was banned from the the dayz standalone forums.i used to test for the games

on this game the mod was as good as whats out now,free by the same person and performed better. so its weird seeing new people hype over the game which isnt new ! just a new engine .which is looking like it may not be a great move.basically you paying £27 for a mod that was free for years.

what you have to look at is.

there are two games H1Z1 and this. H1 has been developed for years has its crowd has the money to do what they want and a big team.h1 is a great game.

* Its getting absolutely battered in the twitch ratings night after night.
* Some of the biggest youtubers have clearly stated the game is in a different league to H1Z1.
* The developers are actually keeping to their word and being transparent.
* I trust Player unknown more than some corporation aiming for the big bucks.
* It was better in closed Alpha/Beta that H1Z1 has ever been.

The free mod is terrible for grouping up. Its been a breath of fresh air this has.... Never thought id get the same feeling back as I did playing Vanilla dayz!

I **** you not if and when this comes to the console I will be 100% buying it! I rarely play the console, but I would love to chill out downstairs playing this while my kids run around!

This will be absolutely MASSIVE on the console. They'll experience their first true perma death gut wrenching high stakes FPS! It will light up!

Totally and you know whats even better.... It don't feel so butt hurt when I die. You'd spend hours gearing in Dayz to be killed by a bug!

This is just rock up, turn on, invite mates click play and BOOM you're in together search areas together!

I'm really not seeing that at all, player count hasnt dropped from what I'm seeing, at least its certainly not according to the steamcharts. Nor have I noticed H1Z1 increasing noticeably. Someone earlier in the thread said you have an agenda, I hate to say it, but it does increasingly seem like you do indeed have an agenda to try and get people to not play BG and play H1Z1 instead. I dont know why that is, whether its because you have time invested in H1Z1 and dont want people to start leaving it, whether the 27 for BG is too much for you and so you dont want people to start backing it, or whether you genuinely dont like BG and so dont want others to like it either, I just dont know.

The VAST weight of general opinion, from people on this forum, from people on other forums, from magazines (both physical and virtual), from streamers...is that BG is a damned good game. As much as I hate to level accusations, it does seem like whomever said earlier that you must have some hidden agenda, does indeed seem to be the case.

Each to their own of course, for me H1Z1 is a little too kiddified and sat stale for too long. BG is fresh and a more adult in its aspects, and bottom line...I simply find it much much more fun. However, if people want to play H1Z1 thats their choice, I'm not going to try and dissuade them from doing so, all I would say is, everyone should try both and see which one they think is better.

How can one person be wrong about so many games? I went back through the dayz standalone thread and that was a good read too!

ill wait for the bugs to be ironed out first with arma 3 before buying. also when dayz standalone is out more than half will be gone from arma to play dayz as usual.

dayz standalone will be the game of this year on pc.

BG is very good, it's been done before though, but it feels like it might be done properly that's the big difference here. The other games of this type are just buggy bad performing messes, this game in Beta already feels more polished than the other games.
