IT Remake (2017)

Trailer played automatically when I was looking at facebook this morning. The sound was down on my iPad but it didn't seem as scary as the TV version. In this Pennywise looks evil all the time, it's the fact that the one on the TV show was on the edge of innocent / evil that made it so unsettling.

I might get the audible book actually as I have 2 credits.

I would agree with that. Hopefully (and very possibly) they've addressed this in the actual film, and the trailers are deliberately showing him looking evil for advertising reasons. In fact you can see his looks do change even from the trailer.

So far though, OG Pennywise takes the cake!

Based upon the trailer I'm stoked for this, on the other hand based on past adaptions of Stephen King novels it could well be a big disappointment. Fingers crossed this really does the book justice.

Care to elaborate on that...in spoilers of course.

Surprised how good this looks. Watched the original movie/series again about 6 months ago and while having great nostalgia, there was no fear anymore. Tim Curry was brilliant though.

Tim Curry was great it's a shame his health is not that good some sort of appearance would have been nice in this new one.

It's worth reading the book or listen to audiobook it is fairly long but well worth it you will find a lot is different to mini series.

Looks good to me. Enjoyed the mini series. Never did read the book, might do that before this hits.

Anyone have the original series on DVD? It is the most confusing DVD ever. You open it up and only get part 1 with no instructions how to get part 2. You have to put the disk in upside down to find it! Wut!!!

It looks almost like it set entirely as children. This will dissapoint me. The build up of fear was the return to the thing they didn't want to face up too.

Didnt even know this...:eek: remember seeing the first part as a kid and thinking that was it lol watched the dvd loads of times as well.

Other dvds state it is double sided, guess ill have to watch it all the way through now ..feel a **** now though :D

This is part one and concentrates on the story when they were children, part two continues the story as adults.

The idea of splitting the film into 2 films is the best thing they could have done. The novel is so vast and detailed that they could not have condensed it into 1 film, it just would not have worked. [For example, why the hell did Peter Jackson spit a small novel such as The Hobbit I will never know]

I love the teaser trailer and believe they have done a really good job by the looks of it. Be interesting to see how much of the novel they have added into the 2 films. I really hope they cast good actors for the 2nd film as adults.

The original TV-mini-series is an iconic King adaptation, mainly because of Curry's Pennywise, I watched it a while back and its not as scary as I remember when I was 10. The remake seems to capture the horror and terror intended by King just in the teaser trailer alone, if King approves then so do I.

Erm... I never knew this!!:eek::eek:

It would seem i have only ever seen half the movie. When it was on TV, I only ever saw part 2 where they are adults. I always thought it was weird they were referencing everything in flashbacks as kids.

I need to watch this again as I never knew it was in 2 parts!!:o:p

The original should have been rated 25, not 15.

It's one of two films that genuinely scared me as a kid.
