Definitely the right reading, bios and then master utility confirm. Gonna strip it and re-mount, I changed to the alternate jetplate when installing too so it could even be that causing it.

It's because on my old board the RAM got in the way of a second fan. I could put a second fan on my with CH6, but it's a levitating magic Corsair fan and I don't want to fork out for a match at the moment - and I wouldn't settle for less than a match. Plus I don't want to put the radiator in the front of my case and a second fan at the top would obscure the diagnostic code.
I've got 7 usurped/unused fans lying about, I'm in fan rehab.

What CPU and are you overclocking? Missed your previous posts.

Mine above was running stock clocks, 1800X and i was undervolting.
 
So you guys say that took Intel time to sort out the ram with X99?

Only found out today what DOCP was so being curious I enabled it on my board and PC wouldn't boot.

It just beeped, restarted about 4 times then told me OC failed.
 
Far out - if those are actually real the 6 core is a real bargain! And the 4 core 8 thread parts are priced at the same level as the lowest i5 locked chips. Ok so there are still the G chips for real budget systems but it is hard to ignore the value of this range now!

It has Game Mode that is supposed to increase performance in games etc seen some GTA5 results and they look promising.

Yep the noctua's are fantastic
I am not a fan of water never have....being on good air its 2 less things to worry about ..leakage , pump fail

Like to keep things simple

What's your best under clocks with the 1700
 
I was never a fan of water (pardon the pun), but GPU noise was just too much. I've not seen my fan speeds above 700rpm when gaming which is pure bliss.

My 1700 seems to be topping out at 3.9 with 1.335v. I could probably get 4GHz out of it, but will need more than 1.4v which I don't think is worth it. Haven't started messing with bclk or RAM speeds yet so I'm still at 2133.

From Ryzen 5. I think only the Hexa core is making sense really, why wouldnt you unless your software is really old. False economy to go quad

Harney, I have the same RAM and Mobo as you, I cant the mem past 2660Mhz. Did you do anything special?

sry scramz i thought we resolved this for you in an other post maybe i dreamed this :(

Start at stock on the cpu then select a xmp and then set the volts to 1.35 manually and set the freq to 3200 manually then reboot it go's into a crazy post loop looks like its not worked but if you give it a few mins it will boot then once its done that post will post quicker each time

in cpuz what does it say in the rank under spd
and what does it say in aida spd

mine are single rank & DRAM Manufacturer Samsung
