Bit of percussive maintenance as above.
If not starters aren't that bad to replace you just need about 4ft of extension bars to get the bolts easily

I whacked it with a rubber mallet and it has gone from not working at all, to working most of the time. Will give it another whack...

My wife's crv had an iffy starter motor for about 6 months. I drew a white x on the starter and gave her a piece of 2x4 to clonk it with if it wouldn't turn over.

Liking the spray job on the mx5 btw. We're going to be needing another Santa Pod trip soon so I can have another look at it

Changed fuel filter and attempted to change a broken spring on mondeo. Failed to change spring though. Accepted defeat and will garage it up x

I thought I would tidy up my engine bay a little with some spare paint from sorting my bumper the other week, need to tidy up some overspray still and figure out how to sort out the raised lettering.

Spray that bit black, then take the paint off of the raised lettering with a sanding block.

It's black plastic though, so it'll all be black. I want the raised lettering silver & red as it is meant to be but don't want to use a brush.

Ahh. Um... Spray it with black plastidip and peel it off of the letters?

Also - Coming to an arrangement to get shot of this Eunos... Getting a different Eunos + cash for it, from someone who has an engine in their garage and wants it for all the bits that are on it...

My record for car ownership is 5 weeks with that Celica. I've had this 7 weeks so far.

Great another swap, sounds like you're really learning from your car mistakes. I'm sure they want to swap cars for another one the same because the one they have is a great example.

Acme this is getting silly now. Do not swap it sell it. This guy most likely can see you coming from a mile off. Look at it from a third person why would you want to swap a car if it is in good condition. Only reason is to dupe some poor sod into taking a lemon.
