Decent hardware, good spec, reasonable price, lack of true exclusives if you have a capable PC .... Still for a under a TV half decent spec PC and a high spec console its a potentially good bit of kit. £450 means by this time next year ti should be £400 ish?

I'm very happy with price of £450, will pre order once available.

this console aimed at myself who spent £120 on elite Pad, just want something thats true 4k on OLED screen :D

Heh, I bought one and then had to buy another once the Mrs tried it..... :o:D

At least I have the accessories ready to go.

I am mainly buying it for the upgrade over the Xbone, potentially better multi plat experience and UHD Blu Ray drive.

Erm..I would VERY much like to see the tower only ( which is a huge liberty to remove from expenses), at those prices for components thats built to the same spec and close to the finished form factor.
And Live is what..about £30 a year shopping around, so you can even have 5 years of that and Add £150 to that budget.

I just added it up with parts I can buy new right now for £530. Including an 8GB RX580, 8gb RAM, G3258, matx board, 500w PSU, 1TB SSD and Matx form factor case.

That could be reduced with used parts if so required by the user.

I don't know why you are so offended? I am not going against the Scorpio/consoles in anyway. I use them myself. I also understand pc's are not for everyone as well. Just simply stating it can be done for a very similar price range.

Most people have a TV and a sofa already. However to game on a PC you typically need to also factor in the cost of a monitor, desk and chair.

An RX580 manages 15fps in Ghost Recon Wildlands at 4k. I bet Xbox one x does a bit better... :-)

No idea why it needs to be compared to pcs all the time. It's a games console...

DF has a video right now of Battlefront II on a 1080, and it runs ultra 1440 at 60fps, but struggles at true 4K, no fps provided. To compare this to a PC is a little silly, PCs are just designed to be tweaked and customised much more. This is a static bit of hardware and devs will dial in best they can to get 4K at a stable fps. Unlike PC where you most likely need to apply brute force.

Did they make mention of the upscaling for Xbox 1 games? I seem to recall reading the PS4 Pro doesn't let you upscale graphics/performance on all games, if you have a 1080p screen.

I am wondering if they mentioned anything about using the X on a 1080p screen? I like the idea of playing Xbox 1 games (mainly exclusives) on it, with graphical improvements until I have a 4k screen, to maximise it's potential.

You cant build a 4K gaming Pc for anywhere near the price of an Xbox One X. Looks like a nice bit of kit. :)

Someone should give it a go to spec it.
