Xbox Scorpio

An RX580 manages 15fps in Ghost Recon Wildlands at 4k. I bet Xbox one x does a bit better... :)

No idea why it needs to be compared to pcs all the time. It's a games console...

IIRC, ghost recon wild lands is one game where it looks significantly better than consoles though.... If you drop the settings (especially nvidia settings which aren't even available on the console version) to match the console's graphics then chances are the PC would perform better than the xbox one x still.

At the end of the day, the main reason people still stick with PC over consoles is for 60+ FPS in gaming as realistically in a lot of games, there isn't that much of a graphical difference between the platforms now with a few rare exceptions like ghost recon but 60 fps is far better than 30 fps, not to mention 100+ FPS

you can get an RX580 for £250. Which is actually 6.2tflops.

Then add the rest not forgetting software and a 4k blu ray player with software. The RX580 also struggles at 4k if you look at reviews.

Can't all the "may as well build a Pc" people make a post in the PC thread and let us console people enjoy and talk about our new uber console in peace... :)

Did they make mention of the upscaling for Xbox 1 games? I seem to recall reading the PS4 Pro doesn't let you upscale graphics/performance on all games, if you have a 1080p screen.

I am wondering if they mentioned anything about using the X on a 1080p screen? I like the idea of playing Xbox 1 games (mainly exclusives) on it, with graphical improvements until I have a 4k screen, to maximise it's potential.

They didn't say anything at the conference, we only have what Digital Foundry tells us.

*All unpatched games that use dynamic resolution like Doom, Halo 5 will be able to reach the 1080p target easily.
*If a game is patched to run at a higher-than-1080p resolution, then all those games will be downsampled (super sampling anti aliasing) by the system itself for 1080p TVs. On PS4 Pro, the devs have to implement that manually and some of them haven't bothered.
*I've not read anything so far about having selectable options so the user can choose 1080p60 or 2160p30 as some games do on PS4 Pro.

Any current GPU struggles with 4k even the Txp. Its dependent on the settings they used that matter.

I don't get why your all so offended :p. I only said it could be done for a similar price.

Also, regarding the "performance benchmarks", as said, all these review sites just max everything, even AA when there is no need (especially for 4k) so if you set the games up correctly i.e. reduce the settings that bring no benefit to IQ, only performance killers then a lot of even "mid range" GPUs are capable of very good performance at 4k, this is where the PC is superior for gaming in some ways as you can choose exactly what you want.

The biggest problem with PC is release day where optimization isn't done well and it takes months to get a game working as it should have.

This is why we buy consoles. I don't want to spend ages setting up a game before I play I just want to get on with it.... :-)

Don't disagree but this is why you have "presets" in game i.e. one slider where you go from ultra to high and so on... Even manually tweaking doesn't take "ages", generally the go to settings are; AA, shadows, draw distance or/and some form of foliage setting and if it has nvidia gameworks present then you turn them off, won't take any more than 5 minutes to do.

Was there not only one game for the xbox one x where it was specifically stated 4k @ 60 fps i.e. forza? So in other words all the other titles that didn't mention 60 fps are more than likely running at 30fps?
