Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

Bloody Nora!! I didn't think I would be this impressed with the pro and Horizon!!!

Stunning visuals!

Anyone else get the lighting issues?

Walking into a forest area and looking out into an open area, the lighting gets screwed up, bright white effects.

Same when inside some buildings, hunters lodge for example in Meridian looking out onto the balcony the sky is very bright blue colour, despite it being night.

HDR game mode here.

Not me, just bit the bullet and got PS4 pro with this game and not noticing any issues but only about 7 hrs in.

its not all the time and is quite rare but I did get a few graphical lighting glitches last night, played for a good while today without noticing any problems.

I have experienced it and I'm not even on a HDR display since they cannot be enabled.

Yes, I noticed a fair few lighting issues when playing it too, wasn't enough to annoy or put me off though :)

It's quite bizarre, but I very quickly started to get bored of the game. So much so, that I'm on the last mission, but haven't been enthused to finish it yet. I took my time and did a lot of playing around in the game world / ignoring the main quests for a long time, but found that the world just didn't feel very immersive.

Incredible visuals, fun story... but right at the end it started losing me for no apparent reason.

I'm struggling to keep going, but for me it's trying to aim with a controller- quite frustrating. I am amazed at how well the game looks particularly the lighting effects like sunset, had me gawping for a minute. If/when I come across these issues I should be able to forgive them as they have done a Stella job imo, although the pro gets noisier than my pc in this game. Any chance these glitches are heat related as I usualy only play for 30 mins to an hour at a time.

Strange, it doesn't set off the fan on my regular PS4 1200c. Yes it isn't a Pro but I see so many talking of lots of fan noise with Horizon, Uncharted 4 and a few others that seems to become quite loud.

The trailer was quite weak tbh. I've been working my way through the Sony trailer reel and imo this did nothing for me. It's meaningless though - we've got dlc yo!

Noticed a huge door which was shut at the far Northern part of the map in the snowy mountain area, could this be for the future expansion?

Not finished the story yet so maybe its part of this game.

I reached that door too and believe it is the gateway to new lands. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Reddit discussions place the location of the DLC at Yellowstone Park, and the volcano being Devils Tower!
