Shielding/Driven Pass/LT+RT all nerfed - I struggled in possession as I usually use a lot of LT+RT, higher error rate on driven pass...can't ping it around like you can in 17.
Game feels a lot more fluid - I guess this is down to the animation changes, no more LT/RT -> snapping into a shield like 17.
Driven shot across goal still good but not quite as crazy good as it is in 17.
Less control when you're sprint dribbling - opens you up to being dispossessed easier. Dribbling with C. Ronaldo, Thiago, Modric felt really nice.
Lots of changes to crossing but I'm rubbish in the air so didn't really try it out...I was too busy trying not to lose! Near post corners still difficult to defend, conceded a few against Lewandowski (Who was probably the striker who caused me the most problems!)
Defending a lot less reliant on AI, pure aggression doesn't work as well as it did in 17
GKs weren't great from range but I guess this is was because we were playing H2H offline, default difficult probably means terrible keepers?!
FUT wasn't playable, just H2H with (from what I can remember) Real Madrid, Man Utd, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Toronto and possibly a couple of other teams that I've forgotten.
[edit : FIFA on Switch actually looks pretty promising, I wasn't planning on picking it up as I figured it would just be a XB360/PS3 port but it plays really well and visuals are surprisingly good, it has FUT but no Champs so I think I'll get be getting it for mobile play so I don't have to lug my Xbox to events!]
