Looking a little further into it, abortion availability in NI is indeed devolved but this amendment allows NI women to come to the UK and have abortions free of charge on the NHS which is something they currently can not do. So even if the NI agreement is sorted (which to be honest looks unlikely at the moment) it has relevance. Stella Creasy claims to have 40 conservative MP's on board for this.

This was always going to be a problem from the minute May started trying to buy the DUP MP's off. She's in bed with them now and she is going to get fleas.
What is being realised now is that the DUP have no reason to concede anything in this discussion at all. It doesn't matter to them if it reverts or not now because they have complete influence of the current government. In many respects power returning to Westminster probably suits them better.

That's my reading of the situation, that there is no Nationalist representation on matters pertaining to NI if power sharing is not restored there is disproportionate DUP influence. This situation is an absolute shambles and unfortunately the doing of Teresa May.

2016 already established that with the Trump and Brexit votes. The impending Northern Ireland fiasco is just one of the early ripples from the Tories throwing that Brexit stone.

I can't think of Corbyn handling this situation any worse than May has. In fact, we probably would have had a more representative Government.
