no you're just posting bad advice about something you don't really understand, even after having been told about it before, you're not being helpful here but quite the opposite - I don't know why you insist on doing it

You didn't even know what a low residue diet was on the previous page yet that is typically recommended to Crohn's patients who go to see dieticians (the people who are actually qualified to give diet advice). The problem is that a typical raw vegan diet is mostly not going to be a low residue diet and is instead going to be full of the sorts of things that are going to irritate the lining of your gut, which is exactly what Crohn's patients want to avoid doing if they've got strictures (narrowing in their gut as a result of scar tissue) or even if they've not got strictures but are in the middle of a flare. What you've advised could simply make things worse for such patients and/or help to cause blockages.

some of the idiots posting here are making a joke of people like me that suffer with this condition. TBH you obviously have no idea so please refrain from posting your rubbish....

If diet alone helps as much as you claim I'm pretty sure most people who suffer from ibd would be trying every diet under the sun if it actually did help.

I'm pretty sure you are confusing ibd and ibs tbh.....

I look forward to you educating all the Specialists that have spent years of their lives studying these diseases and letting them know that a simple diet change will fix everything for those suffering. Nice one Pooley, you legend.

Fair comment :p idiocy maybe?

I can understand bad spelling, but I can't understand why you'd prioritise one word over another enough to give it a capital letter.

I don't understand it either. Its worse when I hand write as I can put capitals in the miDdle of words. How weird does middle look..lol

Has there been any more movement/research on faecal transplants...

As for a vegan diet I've had a brief look and I can't find anything on any of the IBD forums to support a cure. What I can find on the internet is a lot of people SELLING this as a cure

a juice fast/feast would not do that as no food will be going in and would give your insides a rest.
anyhoo i'll leave it at that.

So does it come out all runny. I ate a pizza last week and it didn't come out triangle shaped so I assume my stomach broke it down into a gooey mess before it hits my intestines etc.

What do you mean by no food will be going in. Whats in the juice. Because unless its just water I'm pretty sure anything else would be classed as foodstuff

I remember mentioning these to a consultant (not as a suggestion for me but just that I'd read about them online) he said they're actually useful in c.diff patients, I'm not sure there is much to suggest they're any good for Crohn's though

So I've been having a lot of issues with my guts lately and feeling excessively tired all the time and finally went to the doctors a few weeks ago for bloods and other tests including stool sample, got the results back and shows I've been told that I'm showing strong indications of having Crohns with some of the other symptoms I've been having like aching joints etc. I've been referred to a specialist as an urgent case, roughly 6 weeks waiting and guess I'm just glad to have some sort of answer as to whats been going on. Am hoping its not some form of IBD.

I've just found it something I have to live with, if they check all your levels, iron vit b-12 etc you may need some support/supplements, I have good and bad days though, though until they settle down whats happening to you, your probably not going to feel great, try not to worry, theres nothing you can do really, maybe stay away from curry and spicy food or if you know eating something has always upset your insides :p

As above, good luck. Hopefully, you get a good consultant who can get it all under control quickly.

My consultant has just bumped up my Methotrexate dose, so I'll see how this goes. I know over the past few weeks I've started making major changes my life to hopefully get me back on track as well.

Looks like I’m having a flare. My Anxiety is going mad and I have diarrhoea, no hunger and lots of abdominal churning noise constantly....

Blood test tomorrow and then need to talk to docs about anxiety meds’ and nurse about colitis meds.

Blehhhhhh.........
